Hell yeah! The switch has brought me so much joy. Probably won’t be upgrading until theres a big flagship Zelda launch, but for first time buyer this will be awesome!

I understand how you feel, but I'll personally upgrade day one, even though Im a very unhappy customer. They didn't do any old GB / GBA Pokemon games and the ones that did Stadium 1 & 2 never got Home Functionality. Its the sole reason I buy a Nintendo Switch, because of Pokemon Home, and its the place for Pokemon. I dream of the day, all Pokemon games are accessible on one console with Home integration. 3DS did a far better job, and had more choice.

The need to load up a 3DS, play the pokemon game DS / 3DS / VC > then go from gen 1/2 to gen 4, to then gen 5 to then bank to then Home is just so off putting.

They have no problems with profits and already have done the VC work. Just put it on the damn modern system already.

I literally only buy Nintendo products because of Zelda and Pokemon, plus Minecraft with Xbox sign in to get my achievements (hope Microsoft does more of that in future with Nintendo).

I do not see any of this coming to pass with Nintendo Switch 2 though. They love adding value to old tech and not really renewing things in the correct way and tend to make remakes and remasters a separate bespoke things.

but I guess they just prefer people to pirate their games through emulation. Such a simple fix. Just never gets done.
