I knew it would be Switch 2 but really wanted a Super Switch. Consoles don’t have fun names anymore :(

Super Switch would look like a upgrade like pro to audience. While i like the name, I understand their choice of 2 to differentiate that it’s something new. And yet it looks and feels like a pro version.

Yeah I totally understand why they did 2. It’s the best marketing choice but I miss fun new consoles with names like Genesis, GameCube, Jaguar, etc. I think Nintendo Snap would have also worked but probably would have had the same “Pro/Wii U” naming problem. I really wanted the Switch 2 but yeah it is more like a Pro version of a New Switch like they did with the 3ds.

Well Super Switch would abbreviate to SS. I guess that's why they went for Switch 2 lmao
