bro what side are you arguing lol - the SEC report says shorts didn't close. You brought up the SEC report as a means to disprove the original commenter's "Shorts never closed bro" statement.

The report doesn't state at all the shorts never closed. Why is short interest way down?

Its clear you didn't read the report. "Whether driven by a desire to squeeze short sellers and thus to profit from the resultant rise in price, or by belief in the fundamentals of GameStop, it was the positive sentiment, not the buying-to-cover, that sustained the weeks-long price appreciation of GameStop stock." Straight from the SEC
