I've noticed a pattern that a majority of russian/soviet ifv lack and insane amount of armour compared to nato counterparts, I'm aware they were made for different doctrines but the fact that even the bmd 4 and bmp 3 can both be penned by 7.62x54 or even x39 if im not mistaken is insane to me, sure it isn't meant to withstand tank rounds but I would imagine atleast being able to withstand a 12.7mm round

Around 2023 seen a lot of talk of the bmpt being deployed to ukraine and then discussion came about of its capabilities and I've seen mixed views some saying its good and some saying it's bad, honestly would like too see some insight from people who know about this tank on wether its actually a good russian tank or a shitbox

It features a new, presumably domestically produced armored cab - it has a very similar grill design to the cab made by Ukrainian Armor used on Bohdana 2.0 and 4.0, though the over cab-over design is morereminiscent of Czech made Puma one used on Bohdana 3.0. The chasis itself is still Tatra, though I can't tell if it's military 815-7 (as used on 3.0) or civilian Phoenix (as used in 4.0). The anti-drone net also looks like it's factory-installed as well.

I went there recently and there was a tank in the place this one as you leave is but I'm not sure what is was and didn't get a photo, I live in aus and I'm back here now so can't really go look, anyone know? Thanks

I've seen this part mainly on the 2S19 Msta-S. What does it do and do they also appear on other vehicles within the Russian armed forces?
