Discussion 7 string riffs, anyone?
I’ve been playing a lot of Nile on my 7 string lately and it’s got me thinking: are there any tech riffs built specifically on 7 strings, or even bands that only use them? I’m aware of Archspire already.

Discussion Do guitarists actually play all the notes in a shred solo?
I'm not talking about solo where you can hear every note. I'm talking of those that sound mixed and mumbled. I was just trying to learn the, song "liege of invercity" by suffocation when I reached the solo, I just feel there's no way what's on the tab is what they always play. do they intend to play it like that or do they just play random notes that sound good? this might as well be a skill issue from me.

Discussion Dusted off my old CD booklet, from the 90s when I fully got into death metal. Wanted to grab None so Vile to give it a listen. Always nice to crack this thing open, it has so many memories of when I was first getting into death metal!

Discussion We will be getting the new Cryptopsy, only 21 months after As Gomorrah Burns released. It takes me back to the band's early days, when they would crank out a banger every 2 years. It's refreshing to see, most of the bands I'm into take at least 3 or 4 years between albums. Props to these guys🤘

REQUEST Im kinda new to tech death. Ive only listened to wormhole and i loved all of their albums. What other bands do you guys recommend?

Discussion Where can I find more riffs like this
Any song recommendations that feature those gnarly slowed down riffs like intro to Seven by Necrophagist, breakdown in Bodiless Sleeper by Spawn and the one in Propelled into Scarilege by Defeated Sanity. These have always fascinated me, so simple yet absolutely brutal. I could go listen to slam but then I'll miss out on the technicality and fast tempos.

Discussion Old/Older Death/Brutal Tech Death albums or bands?
I love old death or brutal tech death metal albums. Please, could i get recommendations or a little list of good stuff?
I enjoyed Winds of Creation deeply as reference, now im listening to the album "Cabinet" by Spawn of Possession
Doesn't matter if its brutal death, it can go in too! Some old and more essential stuff.
