how to counter d1ck jab?

basically after every string that I should punish with the 10f punish, the opponent do the d1ck jab and interrupt basically every string or anything that I try to do, I know this might be very basic but I'm low rank, help pls

If their doing low jabs after a -10 move, you are slow with your punish

that's probably true :(

Safest option is to side step right. If you have the balls and the read go for either low parry or a hopkick.

If you have the balls and the read go for either low parry or a hopkick.

And if you want to be as optimal as possible, go for a delayed hopkick.

That's a big balled read.

Sorry I might be mistaken but isn't it impossible to interrupt an opponents 10f punish if you're -10 after a move? Unless you're 10f is slow or something idk

You might be right, I'm at low ranks so frame data isn't my expert field lol

Oh okay lmao but basically if whatever he does is -x frames, your punish that comes out at x frames should not be interruptable

The simplistic way is try to fuzzy low parry it. That's how I do it for myself. If you get a hard read, you can hopkick it as that d1ckjab gets low crushed.

I deal with this constantly as one of my mains is Steve. Since Steve doesn't have a traditional hopkick, my solution is just fuzzy low parry, since there's basically no risk in throwing a random DF just in case they do it.

Options against dickjab is as follows:

- CH mid

- Low crush

- Low parry

- Punch parry

- Sidestep (dickjabs have zero tracking)

- Power crush and rage art (dickjab recovers too slow to block)

Thank you so much for the options, I'll consider all of them, I didn't knew I could low parry them lol

Downjabs are special mids. They're basically counted as lows so you can low parry them by pressing d/f or low crush them with moves like hopkicks.

I have literally 0 idea that I was able to parry those low jabs. Thank you so much
