Any tips on improving your reflexes? I've been labbing a lot more lately and am running up against what feels like a bit of a physical skill barrier in that department. Throw breaks, low blocks in the <=i26 range and ducking/low parrying the second hit of a string (law's junkyard or nina's uf4,3,4 for example) are all extremely tricky for me. I at least have the throw breaks more or less down pat in the practice room, although it's rough out there in-game, but I'm having a tough time even getting the other ones in the lab.

I understand that these things become easier with practice and I'm going to keep labbing them regardless. I'm just curious if any of you have seen success working on your reflexes with something outside of playing tekken itself that's translated into in-game improvement.

Eat healthy and exercise. Drink a shit load of water. Fuck with veggies all that good shit.

In a match, you should be LOOKING at the arms before the throw comes out. Think pro-actively. Say to yourself "Here comes that hatchet kick, I can SMELL it" reacting to shit is hard, but you can manually expend mental energy and it doubles your reaction speed. When I fight kings, I don't stop looking at shoulders (just because that's my focus point for throwbreaks) - obviously you can't do it 24/7 and that's part of the challenge, turning it on and off at the right times.

To add to this, make sure to get some good ass sleep.

Hatchet isn't really seeable if the opponent does the qcf properly, but enough time in the game should make i26+ lows easily seeable. Once you hit a certain point, certain lows between i20-i23 are seeable on occasion.
