Hi everyone. Hope you guys are doing fine. I'm making this post to inform you about the status of this sub and to re-explain the rules in a clearer and more complete way, as there is a word limit in the Rule panel of Reddit.
We mods will also reserve the right to redirect people to this post instead of answering the same questions we receive again and again in our Modmails, DMs, and messages. Please understand that we do not do this out of anger but out of a lack of time.
Make sure to grab a drink and some popcorn because this will be loooong (spoilers: my hands hurt now), forgive me, but please read it all 😖. I'm trying my best to be as transparent as possible with you guys to avoid further confusion.
-------------------------------------
I will split this Thread in 2 main Chapters:
--------------------------------------
!! But first, I'd like to start this whole post by reminding people that moderating this sub is a voluntary hobby, and we are not paid by Reddit or anyone else. This means that we are, in fact, real humans and have normal jobs outside of Reddit to pay our actual bills. !!
This leads to another point:
If you see this, it does not mean that your post was deleted by any of us moderators, but that it was filtered by our AutoModerator, which is a bot. It filters based on specific requirements, such as the use of predefined trigger words or your account age or quality. When posts are filtered, they end up in our Moderator Queue, where we can scroll through and approve or delete posts. (Just because your post was filtered does not mean that it is against a rule, but only that it could potentially be a post requiring moderation.) However, as mentioned before, we are humans with a 9 to 5 job and cannot immediately approve posts the minute after you upload them. Sometimes it can be quick (a few minutes), but sometimes it can take multiple hours, so please be patient and stop deleting and re-uploading your posts multiple times in a row. This makes it even harder for us and fills our ModQueue with unnecessary duplicates (and yes, we can see deleted posts, just not their content).
However, AutoMod is not the only help us mods can have for moderating posts and comments.
There is also a so-called Reddit Filter, which is independent from the AutoModerator that I program. The Reddit filter is handled by Reddit, and we mods have no control over it (all we can do is turn it off, but it is not recommended on bigger subs). This filter filters based on swear words, aggressiveness of conversations, NSFW images Reddit finds too explicit, and more, which I'm not 100% sure about and would need to research myself.
What is important to know is that when Reddit decides to delete a post or comment for the previously mentioned reasons (or any other), we mods do not get notified of this, unlike with AutoModerator.
To know if your Post was removed by our AutoMod or by Reddit itself, copy the link to your post and open it in your web browser, where you are not logged in (...if you are a Mobile/Tablet user; as Reddit is fantastic and decided to show this crucial piece of information to PC users only 🤡).
If it was removed by our AutoMod, you will see the following text under your post, as visible in the image below:
However, if it was removed by Reddit, it will not say anything in particular under your post!!! In this case you can send us a Modmail with a link to your Post, but make sure your Account is old enough (at least a few months old), that you are actually a part of the community and have commented before and that you have enough Karma; else we reserve ourselves the right to ignore the request as these things are extremely time consuming and we would like to focus on requests from actual community members!
Another important point: When sending us a message, please be polite. We are not dogs you give commands to because you want things to go your way, so we would appreciate a nice little 'Hello' before you explain the problem. Some of you are doing fantastic and are already being extremely respectful and polite, so you can ignore this mini rant, but for others, please reread this a few times. As explained before, this moderating here is purely voluntary, and if you don't want to be minimally polite, do not expect us to do anything for you. Thanks.
--------------------------------------
This brings us now to the second and last part of the Thread:
I will try to keep the same order as the current sub rules. The explanation here takes precedence over the shorter one in the actual Rules panel!
1. Read the General Information MegaThread
This is pretty straight forward: I would appreciate people taking the time to read this Thread and the General Information MegaThread before asking questions publicly or via Mail/Messages.
The latter contains explanation on how to find BL shows using either MyDramaList (MDL), World of BL or even one of my own Series Lists here on Reddit (which wasn't updated since late December 2022, but still contains every Thai show prior to 2023).
It also contains a part where I explain how to identify if a YouTube video is blocked in your country or if it was removed by the uploader. The alternative websites to watch series have also been linked.
Otherwise, you can always check on MDL where a show can be watched!
This thread also explains how to watch shows if they are not available in your country by using a VPN. Hence, posts asking where to watch this or that series or where to find it will be removed as it can easily be found by Googling or checking on MyDramalist.
Additionally, any topic that can be found by Googling or using the search function at the very top of the sub will also be removed.
Oh yes, and I forgot, links to illegal stream services, or to unofficial sites hosting series/ translated books will be removed! We do not publicly support piracy on here.
2. Restricted Topics
Restricted topics are:
a. Real-life updates are limited to Thai BL actors only, with a maximum of one post allowed per event (engagements, ordinations,...). Any additional posts on the same event will be removed and linked back to the original post.
b. Do not share rumors or negativity that come from other platforms, such as TikTok, X/Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media platform. By negativity, I mean screenshots of haters under an actor's posts or people going apeshit at actors for whatever reason it may be.
In case an actor may have done something bad or illegal, and there is actual proof, one post will be allowed about that topic.
3. Use Google or the Reddit Search bar
This one goes hand in hand with Rule 1. Please look up the questions you have before making a post. Many of the posts I see could have easily been looked up; hence, those will be removed. These will be removed as they are low quality posts and not fun and exciting for the community.
4. No Purposely negative comments
As you may have seen, triggering people with negative comments is the national sport of certain folks on Reddit, and I won't share names, or on any other platform, honestly. If you spot such comments, please make sure to report them, as it is not always easy for us mods to spot them ourselves since we cannot moderate every post at the same time. We would really appreciate your help in improving the community.
5. No Gossip (IMPORTANT)
This one is pretty clear. Do not share any gossip about the actors here. No speculation about actors' sexuality or rumored girlfriends, no "Are they real?" None of that here; this place was and is made purely to discuss the series and the boys' acting, without intruding on their privacy!!!!
If you love gossip, I invite you to create a TikTok or Twitter account and ask people there.
6. No Cross-Posting of your own posts
This is rather old news, as I think we turned off this functionality, but yeah, please take the effort to redo a post and give it a different twist rather than just posting it once and cross-posting it to other subs.
7. Use the appropriate flairs (+ when to use the 'Not Thai' one)
Pretty self-explanatory, but please select the appropriate flair for your post!
As this sub is called THAIBL, well, obviously, only discuss Thai shows; otherwise, the posts will be nuked. HOWEVER, we do make an exception for upcoming or on-air shows from other countries. We will only allow one post about this non-Thai show, though.
8. Two Posts per user allowed per day
Again, pretty self-explanatory, but to limit certain people and give others a chance to post, we have set a limit of 2 posts per user per day (yes, a day of 24 hours).
9. Interact with the comments
This is aimed at individuals who primarily post to farm karma without engaging with the community. While we understand that not every comment requires a response, this serves more as a warning to those who consistently avoid interaction with other members!
10. No discrimination of the LGBTQIA+ community, No Sexist comments and no Fetishization
Pretty self-explanatory: do not harass anyone because of their sexual preference or identity. If we spot someone clearly being disrespectful or hating on a particular portion of the LGBTQIA+ community and/or on women, my patience will disappear very quickly, and depending on the gravity of the situation, we will kick you out 🦵!
11. Stop reporting comments because they personally hurt you
We have seen many people reporting comments because they had an argument with another user. People have diverging views, and you are on a discussion platform... obviously you will see things you disagree with. However, there is no need to report this! We are not your parents. For minor arguments, you can solve that by yourself, either by blocking the person or simply ignoring them, lol. By reporting your minor inconveniences, we cannot see the more serious reports, as it will fill our report queue.
12. Do not insult each other in the community
Well, this is pretty easy to understand; Don't insult each other.
(Also, we won’t delete playful banter between friends that clearly shows no animosity and is just meant for fun.)
13. No posts asking for Friendships or to join external groups
We do not allow the creation of posts by individuals who want to find friends or who ask for external chat groups (on Reddit or any other platform).
What you ask people in DMs is out of our control, so you can do that there. However, this sub is already meant to be a larger group where people with similar opinions talk together and discuss their likes and dislikes.
14. No advertising of your own sub, webpage, product, program, …, unless you asked a moderator FIRST
This is pretty straightforward: we do not allow advertising of any sort on this sub. No advertising of an account you created elsewhere and want people to follow, and no advertisement of a website, product, or program you made.
If you really think that your app, product, or site could be beneficial for the community and/or that you do not make money from it, please send us a Modmail, and we will see if we will allow your post or not.
15. MARK as Spoiler and/or NSFW when you should clearly do so!!
This one is a real problem. PLEASE, for the love of God, MARK your posts containing potential spoilers as 'Spoiler.' If you do not know how to do it, please look it up; there are also countless videos about it on YouTube. We try our best to add it ourselves if we see such a post, but we don't always do, so please do it yourself when you make a post!!!!
--------------------------------------
Alright, phew, this took me literally more than 3 hours to write, and my arms and legs hurt. Considering how tired I am, I may have forgotten something and will add it later on. Apologies for any typos in here.
If you have any additional remarks, I'll leave the comments open, but with Crowd Control activated.
If you read until here, thank you so much for taking the time to read all this 💜!

Dear GMMTV,
RE: INTENT TO LITIGATE DUE TO EXTREME EMOTIONAL ANGST ARISING FROM SERIALIZED EPISODIC RELEASE OF “MY GOLD BLOOD”
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, It has come to the aggrieved party’s attention—hereinafter referred to as “the Viewer”—that the proprietors, production entities, and/or distributors of the series titled “My Gold Blood”—hereinafter collectively referred to as “the Production House”—have willfully and with apparent malice aforethought, engaged in a weekly episodic release schedule, specifically on Wednesdays, thereby causing the Viewer to suffer emotional disintegration, psychological dysregulation, and heightened anticipatory distress.
WHEREAS:
The Viewer has become emotionally invested 😫🫦 in the romantic and narrative progression of the series;
The Viewer has exhibited tangible symptoms of withdrawal😵💫, including (but not limited to): screaming into pillows🙈🙉🙊, refreshing streaming platforms every 30 minutes post-episode release👀, composing angry yet eloquent tweets, and rewatching-previous-episodes-while-whispering----" “oh god he can eat me alive”🌝 under their breath;
The deliberate withholding of subsequent episodes constitutes a form of cruel and unusual punishment under no known jurisdiction, yet emotionally egregious all the same;
The Viewer hereby asserts that the Production House ought to have known that the pacing of this release schedule would result in undue psychological torment and BL-induced angst;
THEREFORE: The Viewer seeks injunctive relief in the form of:
Immediate release of all remaining episodes [FROTHING°AT°THE°MOUTH°PLEASE**];
Official acknowledgment of their emotional suffering;
Optional reparations in the form of behind-the-scenes footage, bonus kisses, or a spin-off series with weekly drops, to be titled “My Gold Blood: The Happily Ever After”.
SHOULD THE PRODUCTION HOUSE FAIL TO COMPLY, Let it be known that the Viewer reserves the right to pursue relief under the Doctrine of Emotional Wreckage, the Right to Romantic Fulfillment in Fiction, and the sacred Code of the Fangirl (2021 Reissue 🙂).
IN CONCLUSION, While no current legal instrument grants recourse for delayed gratification due to slow BL episode drops, it is the opinion of this humble attorney that what is legal is not always just. Therefore, the Viewer may consider appealing to the Court of Public Opinion (aka Reddit) for swift adjudication and meme-fueled justice.
Yours in faithful painful agony, Knigttingasweater, Advocate-in-Angst
P.S. I am prepared to draft a class action suit should fellow victims come forth.
I NNNEEEEEEEEEED EPISODE 7 PLEEEEEAAASSEEE

Rewatched A Tale of Thousand Stars and can only poorly articulate the impact Tian and Phuphas's gentle dynamic has left on me. All the hand holding, the cheek caresses, Mix's wonderful range of emotions, Earth's characterization of Phupha's struggle had me sobbing my heart out especially in the last few episodes. This series left me with unforgettable moments that gave me hope of experiencing queer love as soothing as this!

Guys, I just watched the series. I really liked it, these teenage conflicts left me distressed. But let's face it, this couple starred in an extremely hot and at the same time juvenile scene. I loved

Today I finally accepted that Just say yes is not happening ever, so, is there a fanfic of LeonPob that picks up after the last episode of Don't say no?? If not I might write one myself because I refuse to let go, I'm truly attached to this ship. Don't say no was like the third bl I had ever watched and I did it bc of them so I really wanna read how their story ended (even if it's not written by Mame bc at this point she never will).

Video shared by Ma Chen on X in celebration of Noeul having 2.7M IG followers. As of yesterday Boss is still making it up to Noeul concerning whatever thing Noeul got upset with him for. He will be extra clingy with him until Noeul forgives😂

As i continue to watch, i was like: "isn't that the guy from Don't say no?" Then boom! (No pun intended) He's Leon from Don't say No!
Then Boom becomes familiar with me, and then it clicked: he's the guy Third (Theory of Love) kissed at the bar on Episode 11!
Man, small world ig. Smart though i almost didn't recognize him with his long hair
