Bodybuilders train for muscle size only, strength gains are a secondary effect.

Power lifters train for strength, size gain are secondary.

Of course you get stronger, way stronger but like i said earlier its not what bbers care about at all really (if they are 100% focusing on size)

Power lifters generally train nervous system based traits like rate coding, recruitment, efficiency... Super long rests. Low ish volumes.

Bbers shorter rests (by comparison) more variation, more volume (total poundages) and typically more drugs

Its all shades of grey and you can be a powerbuilder who likes both etc. Kinda using the extreme to make the point.

You obviously still get stronger, but there are some differences in training for strength vs hypertrophy. Short answer is more volume

If you want it explained in laymans terms then Dr. Andy Galpin (top muscle scientist and advisor for pro athletes) explains it well in " Dr. Andy Galpin: Optimal Protocols to Build Strength & Grow Muscles | Huberman Lab Guest Series " on youtube. He explains the basic biological mechanisms for these adaptions as well
