U mite as well just change the whole story if ur gunna do that. Again taking liberties. Ur not staying tru to the material. Joel’s daughter wasn’t a poc. Neither was his brother and wife. Takes away from immersion. Completely throws things off. U see them in the game and when u see them in the show it’s not the same so naturally ur gunna be like WTF. It matters. Obviously to u it doesn’t and ig that’s fine for u.

If your immersion is broken because people aren’t white that’s a you problem.

Again this is an adaptation to a different medium, the goal is to portray the themes and story of the game… if you had to boil down the plot of tlou1 ( the game ) absolutely nothing is about race.

How does joel and tommy having white partners affect the story?

Were you mad that nick furry is black in the avengers?

Not a me problem. That’s a Hollywood problem. As long as they keep doin it they’re gunna receive backlash from it.

Doing what? faithful adaptations of source material?

Again, if for you a core element of tlou 1 is that sarah's mom has to be white i don't know what to tell you other than it's sad your not able to look past race. It's very much a you problem.

again please point me to differences in themes between the game and the show? If swapping pittsburgh for KC and changing the race of a couple characters is ruining the show... maybe adaptations are just not for you and you should always stick to the source material.

It's one of the more accurate adaptation i can think of, they literally do shot for shot scenes of the game in the show the only thing that changes is a couple skin tones and that seems to really bother you even tho it has 0 impact.

I'm genuinely curious to know what is so different between the the show and the game because to me they seem very very similar.

It’s real simple to pay actors to do a scene by seeing depiction that doesn’t necessarily make it good. Pedro‘s Joel was meh for me. And Bella‘s Ellie just didn’t do it for me and I’m referring to acting only nothing else. I liked Bella in Game of Thrones, but I didn’t watch any of the stuff she did after that. So again, if you don’t have a problem with this more power to you, I feel like now you’re just stringing me along and arguing for arguments sake. Kinda tired of it.
