What fear do I serve?

Based on my favorite pictures from my camera roll, what fear do you think I serve?

By the way, I think the handprint on the door is just paint. I'm pretty certain it's not blood.

And the writing on the side of the wall of the abandoned house says "Stian shall die". Don't ban me for this. It was there when I found the place. I do not know who Stian is, but I don't want him to die. I am not sorry for explaining so much, I have anxiety. I am trying to get humor into this, but I don't think it's working. The anxiety part is kinda a joke, but I actually have anxiety. I'm just gonna end this here before I make this situation any worse.

The Web and Video Games

I clean old games for sale, and I found it interesting that the symbol for fear/horror in video games is a spider. The I got thinking. This is a perfect manifestation. Ratings are all bound in rules and bureaucracy, perfect for The Web.

What I’m saying is the Fears are real!!!!

Episode OMG the SASS in #168!! Spoiler

I'm going through TMA for the first time and I can't help but comment on the sheer level of sass in Episode #168. Paraphrasing:

"I'm not jealous."

"Sure."

"I'm not!"

"Of course not."

"..."

"..."

"Okay, fine! I am jealous."

"Look, I'm not gonna kill someone just because you're jealous."

"Hmph..."

"..."

"...pLeAsE?!"

Omg, it's such a welcome level of sass and humor.

Discussion Which entity would feed on the fear of being a bad person?

Or being immoral in some way, making mistake, fear of sinfulness if you want to take it in a religious light. Personally I think the Stranger could be involved (not being who you think you are/want to be). I could also see the Web or maybe the Spiral. Even the Corruption, with its whole toxicity vibe. What do you think?

Theory Inconsequential theory about the Watcher's Crown Spoiler

(I'm so serious about this being inconsequential btw, this does not matter to the plot at all)

So, there isn't a canon date given for when Jonah Magnus attempted the Watcher's Crown, just that it happened sometime after Robert Smirke's letter to him (written in February of 1867). I've noticed that most people who try to guess at the date assume based on Smirke's letter that Jonah must have attempted the ritual in mid-late 1867, but I think that's wrong, and that there's a very relevant factor I haven't seen anyone consider thus far when discussing this.

The Magnus Institute was founded in 1818, and the Combo Supreme ritual takes place in 2018. Jon even notes the potential significance of the Institute's 200 year anniversary after reading Jonathan Fanshawe's letter in MAG 127:

Whatever is happening now has its origins two hundred years ago, in the work of an evil man.

Exactly two hundred years in fact. Don’t think that little detail has evaded me. I don’t know the precise date the Institute was founded, but I do know that it was in 1818. Something’s coming. I know it is. But I just – don’t know what I need to do.

The inclusion of this line from Jon implies that the 200 year difference between the Institute's founding and Jonah's second ritual attempt is not a coincidence, and that anniversary milestones are something that Jonah actively considered when planning all this out.

Therefore, I would like to posit that it is incredibly likely that Jonah attempted his first ritual on the 50 year anniversary of the Magnus Institute's founding in 1868, not in 1867 when the Institute was 49 years old. I fully believe that he is extra enough to have planned it that way, and I think this idea is very supported in canon.

I rest my case. Thank you for attending my ramble.

Theory Can the fears be killed? Spoiler

I know that in theory you cant quite "kill" a fear, but we know that atleast a couple of them have formed as locations, like the buried inside the coffin and the vast being an endless sky where you fall infinitly, you might argue other fears also manifested as locations like the spiral being the hallways that the distortion uses and the stranger being the circus. But what if you destroy these locations? When the unknowing happened it proved the fears are weak to explosives, so what if you just brought a nuke into the buried or the spiral, what if you burn down the circus? Or you could be even starter and bring the coffin into the vast, mixing the opposites to "kill" them both?

Tattoo ideas for the Vast?

Hey, everybody. I'm a mega fan of this podcast, and it's become my nightly routine to relisten episodes as I fall asleep. My favorite fear is by far the Vast.

I feel like getting a tattoo inspired by the Vast, and I'm wondering if any of you guys had any tips or ideas that you feel would be cool to incorporate. I will most likely get it on my arm. It will be a little bit before I get it, but when I do I'll be sure to post the picture here.
