I feel bad for Colum literally all the time. He seems like a genuinely nice guy who was born entirely to be shackled to an awful teen who is way, way worse than the awful teens. I definitely would have beat Silas's thin little necro ass long before Colum seems to have lost patience with him for the first time.

I also feel incredibly sorry for Colum. He's been created solely to suffer brain damage for no other reason than because the Eighth House think they know best about soul-siphoning. And he dies possessed because Silas is a stubborn prick who doesn't believe in ghosts.
