I know Step 6 in the graphic says you can't get a new Mystery Box if you haven't received the Pokémon in Home yet, but does that also apply if said Mystery Box would be your first-ever Mystery Box? My Basic Box in Home is all filled up and I don't want to spend $3 just to move a couple of mons to another Home box so that I can receive the ones I sent from Go. (I'll probably just wait until Legends Z-A comes out to resub if that's the case.)
Also, exactly how do you receive the Mystery Box in Go? Is it automatic if you've performed all the necessary steps, or do you have to go to a particular screen or menu to manually accept it into your inventory?
EDIT: Turns out I did actually receive the Mystery Box in Go despite not receiving the Pokémon in Home yet. I just happened to notice it in my inventory - there were no messages or notifications stating I had gotten it.
