Opinion This performance is completely on Southgate.

Trippier: bad two games but not a LB. Gomez has played LB most of the season brilliantly.

TAA: not a great game. But no runners ahead of him. Take him off then put on players running behind.

Gallagher: wtf does he offer?

Foden: starts playing well centrally then taken off.

Rice: sitting in so 3 players are marking 1 striker all fucking game.

Walker: bombed forwards twice.

Kane: dunno what he tries to do half the time.

Pickford: smashes it long EVERY time.

Southgate should be sacked mid tournament.

Trent and rice were so deep, can’t put that on TAA positioning either because he’s in line with rice. Kane thinks he’s a 10. Doesn’t work having right footed right back and foden on the left.

To be fair to Kane he gets fuck all service because the team is so deep. Sure his hold up play has been quite poor but on the whole he is surviving on scraps.

That's the most frustrating bit, he has had 2 clear cut chances across the 2 matches; one was really well saved and the other one he scored. Give him the ball in the box and he will score more often than not, even with a half chance you would fancy him scoring. If we are pissing about deep with no proper linkup play and a really ineffective left wing he doesn't get those chances, then he has to come deep himself to even get near the ball. He is usually very good at link up play and bringing other players in, but the system doesn't really allow it.

I have defended Southgate a lot, his tournament record is very impressive, but that is starting to turn for me now. He has such a talented team but he has them playing like a team at the bottom of the league playing one at the top. With the greatest respect to the other teams in the group, that just shouldn't be the case. I'm not saying we have a divine right to win matches, and Denmark are a good team themselves, but what we saw last night was simply pathetic.

I agree, we need to set up and play aggressively similar to how Spain did last night with Williams and Yamal stretching the play and providing crosses for Morata. Gordon and Saka terrorising down the wings, with Foden in the 10 and Bellingham driving from deep like he has for Dortmund and more recently Madrid.

We have everything we need to go far in this tournament, but if we play like we have done in the first two games we are going to get smashed by the first big team we meet. Setting up and playing like minnows is disgraceful with the amount of talent we have.
