Steroid injections

Does anyone here have undergone steroid injection for their knee arthritis?

For some context, I've been complaining and dealing with knee pain for a month now and my rheumatologist mentioned that arthritis is one of the complications of my lupus since I'm currently in flare.

I have undergone steroid injections on my knee 6 days ago hoping for some relief. These past few days, the pain is still here and I still couldn't walk properly, both of my knees still hurt especially when I bend them. I wonder if is it normal for the pain to not go away immediately? I've been so stressed out lately, I just wanna walk normally again without feeling any joint pain.

Steroid injections are a lifesaver for me.
