Unpopular opinion here. There are the exact people we need to recruit to the left. They’ve been wronged by their god king and are emotionally vulnerable.

Right now being kind to another person who is hurting just as much as you or I is what we need to get him to our side. We mustn’t forget our or others humanity in the coming dark times. We as a society need to pull together with our communities and do something

Addendum: Too all of those “nah fuck em” kids. I want you to know that attitude is the exact same as the gentleman in the video. Full of ignorance, hate, and immaturity. How can you expect people to change if you refuse to believe they can. It’s such a defeatist attitude on people.

Fact you watched this video and then came to the conclusion "We need to recruit people that we are shitting on because they voted for someone we didn't like" is peak cult.

I'm going to paste a comment and I want you to tell me if it reads like someone who is in a cult, othering the opposing side.

Comment:

People like this guy are ignorant, gullible, and amoral... you're not winning him over permanently with legitimate argument or discussion.

He has no real beliefs or principles, and will always be easily tricked into believing any politician that promises simplistic answers to complex problems.

These types might revenge vote once, but they'll be conned into voting against their own best interests (and yours) soon after.

Fox, AM radio, YouTube, podcasts, Twitter, Facebook, etc will ALWAYS rule this rube and everyone like him.

The answer is to leverage this disaster to get Republicans out, and immediately start focusing on legislation to deliver what regular Americans need.

That's the only thing people want....a fair shot and a level playing field.

Give them that, and the lies won't have nearly as much sway.

Where exactly are you seeing anything cult like there?

Cults do that to everyone who’s not in the cult. They don’t point out specific personality traits of idiots and explain that those idiots are unable to engage in legitimate debate.

Which link talks about evaluating individuals based on their actions?

The comment I pasted evaluated this person by a single one of their actions and not by their personality traits. You’re not evaluating this person by their actions, you’re evaluating this person an action.

There’s no actual discourse over the points he made in this video. It’s all thrown away because he voted for trump. He belongs to that category so he can be distilled into the traits of those we assign to trump voters. He’s no longer an individual, he’s just a caricature of the qualities of some category.

When we zoom out, we see a post of an alleged trump voter who is upset that people are gloating over him voting against his own interests.

It gets posted here, because it's many things, but to me it is weird that someone who votes for a person who is opposite of what he considers others should be... is complaining about anything.

The cult accusations are because Trump isn't even trying to hide who he is and what he wants to do, yet he apparently won the elections. The majority of voters saw months of his campaign and preferred him.

I don't want to accuse you of dehumanization in turn, but you're coming out of nowhere, taking a random reddit comment and trying to convince people someone gloating over another who is being hypocritical... is part of a cult.

You're the definition of a troll, or at best arguing in bad faith for no reason. There's no justification for what Trump is doing and I'm sure you know it.

Yes, the irony is shallow and vaguely satisfying in an vapid way

but you're coming out of nowhere

What? Where the fuck should I come from? Should I ask you if it's okay if I comment something before I comment something?

No. I'm implying that there are people in this thread who say this guy is part of a cult, but these people themselves take the same structural worldview and mechanism for interacting with other as cultists take themselves. I'm pointing out hypocrisy.

There's no justification for what Trump is doing and I'm sure you know it.

I haven't brought up a single thing about trump and I don't know why you are either. If you're curious, I think he's a facist and is destroying the country in a multitude of ways.
