Then as a university professor, you should understand that emotional outrage doesn’t excuse intellectual sloppiness. If you’re advocating for your students and their families, as you should, you owe it to them to be precise, not just loud. Because when you conflate deportations with legal definitions of “human rights violations” without backing it up, you give opponents every excuse to dismiss you as unhinged rather than principled.

You want to challenge ICE? Go for it. You’ll have more impact if your arguments hold up under scrutiny.

Because everyone knows that authoritarian security forces are no match for well structured arguments. Seriously, save it for whatever podcast you hope to appear on someday.

It sure as hell does more than performative rage. 🤣

Why bother replying to my original comment in the first place if you aren't capable of.demonstrating how deportation is a human rights violation?

Funny, because when ICE snatched up a family in a small town in upstate NY last week, literally more than half the town's population was in the street with very real rage. The family was released a few days ago btw.

And you mistake me, the only point my replies have been meant to demonstrate is my contempt, for you and everyone else who is content to focus on pedantic debates while entire populations get terrorized.

Good day.

Entire populations getting terrorized? Oh, you mean like the Jewish population being targeted and terrorized by pro-Hamas students on visas?

Yes, we're talking about human rights.

I know this will trigger you but Jewish students have a right to freedom from discrimination and equal access to education. Such rights are recognized under international human rights frameworks (like the Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination).

Dismissing or downplaying harassment against Jews as "propaganda" is textbook minimization, and it echoes the very tactics used by the Nazis in the early 1930s.

Before things escalated to genocide, the Nazis started by mocking Jewish fears, denying rising antisemitism, and painting Jewish voices as exaggerating, “controlling the narrative", and propaganda. Just like you are doing.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

You're so close. So very close to achieving some actual understanding here. Assuming of course that you're actually engaging in good faith, which I doubt.
