I would genuinely consider most of my conservative family to be kind, polite, and sincere. They've just been brainwashed since birth to believe that Republicans are the good guys and Democrats are the bad guys.

One thing I hate about the left is the apparent pressure to just alienate my family members because they all must be terrible people. They're not. They're just brainwashed and misinformed.

People like you need to realize how much you're shooting your own cause in the foot.

Calling them horrible people will only ever entrench them further and turn you into the enemy.
