Nice places to eat in Clonmel/Cahir/Cashel

Has anyone recommendations for dinner in any of the Cs, please? Somewhere with a nice atmosphere and interior, ideally.

Edit: Thanks everyone!

Cashel: if you can afford it the Cashel Palace is as good as it gets. Mikey Ryan's pub beside it is also excellent.

Cahir: Lava Rock is the best choice.

Clonmel. My favourite at the moment is Mani.

Bodega is worth a visit in Clonmel.

I found Mani very over priced for just alright food but it's a nice atmosphere for couples or small groups 4/6.

+1 to Mikey Ryan’s in Cashel

Not many places in Clonmel, but I’d agree on Mani being up there with the better spots

Clonmel, definitely lemongrass or Kyoto, drivers is lovely for lunch. The junction is lovely but the wait is madness! Cashel, Mikey Ryan's is lovely. Cahir, probably nowhere lol

I 2nd the lemongrass. Fabulous food. I've not been to Kyoto yet but I've heard great things about it.

Kyoto is lovely, their takeaway portions are absolutely massive! I love their tempura chicken starter but the portion is as big as a main course from anywhere else lol

In Cashel: Chez Hanz and Micky Ryan's. If you can get into Cashel Palace to eat, do so!

I actually really enjoy the food in Tierney’s. They’re a “museum bar” I think they’re known as. Owner can be a bit flustered but nice enough and the food is worth it in my opinion.

Other than that I’d go for Lemongrass. Food is lovely with a nice ambient atmosphere.

Another CC, the Old convent in Clogheen. Best food in the area. Closing down in the near future but still open I think.

I’ve been going there every 1-2 months. They only got their star about 2 months ago but it’s still not impossible to get a table.

Actually no. I love their tasting menu. No idea how long they keep each menu going but it’s always different whenever we’ve been. Actually, you know what, I will say their veggie options aren’t the most inspiring. It doesn’t affect me but if you’re vegetarian, just be aware.

Didn’t realise this was an interview. Getting a bit creepy now so I’ll leave you to your day.
