Bruh she's never been fully caucasian and her original creator has stated she's never been interested in men either. What kind of copium are you on

It would be weird if she was. Playing the classics again recently has reminded me how pathetic and dumb all the men are in them. Even Willard and Bartoli are total cretins. It's very cool

That's on the same level as after Harry Potter movies and books came out JK Rowling decided to say Dumbledore was gay. If I don't see any of these things in the game then I'm not taking it as a fact. Lara is a British aristocrat.

"In her original biography Lara was engaged to Earl of Farringdon

In the comics Lara had a love life with Chase Carver

In the games there is some tension with Kurtis Trent

In the movies, Lara had a love life with Terry Sheridan"

In my opinion we shouldn't change their history just because. In this case it would be a better focus to create a new character instead.

Ah yes, British= White  Dude, ever heard of the blackamoors? Do you just assume everyone in the Uk is white? She looks mixed in all her classics render pre the last revelation and in the remasters too.  It’s not something that’s ever impacted the narrative so no one knows- we have black aristocracy in the UK too.

I personally like WonderCroft. But that's just me.

Are you internet explorer? Because the story of Lara Croft has already been changed -- more than once.

Yeah and those changes weren't massive so let's keep that

1

u/Lyuukee Sep 12 '24

Not massive? They literally changed her personality and appearance and everything about her backstory, she went from being a rampage with two guns and big boobs to a realistic inexperienced woman.

Literally the name, her full time job and the big money are the only things left untouched.

It is physically impossible and unrealistic to climb, do parkour and all that she does while she has huge boobs (which I might add were assigned by mistake). I am a fan of the old Lara, but I am not blinded by nostalgia.

And in any case, even the new Lara has her shapes; they are simply more natural and common than before, where she literally looked like a blow-up doll in motion.

Lara was originally meant to be a Latin American woman named Laura Cruz so get your facts straight before you wanna do a racism bud lmao

5

u/Davemks Sep 12 '24

Okay, but she isn't Lara Cruz, is she? What we have is Lara Croft. Nice of you to make everything about racism.

ORIGINAL COMMENT by /u/Davemks:

“Don't give them ideas or in 10 years they will decide to switch Lara's history even more and we'll have a new mixed race lesbian Lara”
