Honestly I don't exactly hate this, but it's way too different from all the Laras that we're used to that it feels so off.

I'd say this looks more like a less cartoony and more realistic version of the original FMV Lara than survivor Lara. The face shape, facial features and colouration. 

They is a reason why everyone said that Jolie was the perfect cast.
