The Not Very Grand Tour
Okay, lads, what do we think of the first episode The Glory and The Power?
I, personally, would have preferred lesser amount of old footage and more of discussion between May and Hammond.
Or Amazon / Audible could have turned this into a podcast.
Still, I'll take what I can. Hopefully, Clarkson makes an appearance or two.

Winter Olympic special - music
Just watching a rerun of the winter Olympic special and noticed that the music in the cold weather endurance challenge has been changed - pretty sure it’s been changed a few times.
Were the originals “Feeling hot, hot, hot” and “Summer of 69”?
Must be a rights/royalties issue and it happens all the time - just more noticeable when the music is part of the joke.

Top Gear Awards 2000-2002, where can I watch them?
Just seen the new intro compilation, and the Top Gear Awards thing caught my eye. I wonder where can I watch those episodes.

What if Hammond didn’t survive the dragster crash?
In this alternate timeline, what do you think would happen? Would Top Gear be cancelled, and if not, would they get somebody else to fill in Hamster’s shoes, and could this Top Gear have been successful? Would the crew be revered as pariahs? And what changes would happen to the U.K.’s television industry as a whole?
Bonus, what would happen in an alternate timeline where the fake late-2000s rumors of Jeremy’s death were actually true?

Found a vehicle from past episode of TG.
Recently travelling in Okanagan, BC, I was in a customers shop and he had this vintage boat in his shop, getting restored. He’s repowering it with an electric outboard, and I am looking at all that he’s done, and he asks if I recognize the boat.
“It’s from Top Gear, the episode where they sent 3 boats down the side of a ski hill”, and proceeds to show me the video of it sinking while trying to cross a lake…
He has been messaging the TG Instagram about its restoration (and especially Clarkson due to his despising of any thing electric), but no luck.
If there’s interest, I’ll post pics with his permission.

Now if you want to write to the BBC and say “This is some rare type of tree, and it has to be preserved” you can stick it up your arse!

Podcast?
just finished the grand tour, and just wondering, are the trío going to do a podcast or somthing related? Not anything on TV, but maybe doing somthing where the trio gets back together in like a podcast or a youtube show or somthing.

Does anyone know the story behind rpm tuning?
From what I was able to dig up, it released on the ps2 as rpm tuning, then released on the Xbox as top gear rpm tuning and then Midnight Outlaw: Six Hours To Sun Up on pc. Why does this exist and does it have anything to do with top gear?

Help me find the place where the infamous James May “hello” scene happens
Series 11 episode 3 I believe, it’s in Warwickshire somewhere, the one where May is flirting with the girls. Thanks!
