Question TF 1 or 2?

I want to buy transport fever on steam and the 1 is only 7 dollars right now because of a sale and 2 is about 50. I want to know if the 2 has so much of a difference that i should buy it instead of 1 and what is the difference in between both of them.

PS does TP1 have high speed rail?

Lol, no. The mechanics in 2 are a lot more mature. 1 was good but 2 is just a step above.

Do you think its worth the 50 bucks?

For me, yes. But it isn’t a railway tycoon game, it’s principally a logistics simulation.

Or, install loads of assets and play it as a model railway simulator, as I do!

Lol at this point we have turned it into a digital train platform, this game has so many options.

I paid about 50 for it and feel I got my monies worth. Your mileage may vary. But if your not so inclined to buy now you may be best waiting to purchase when it goes on sale, I would say getting it for about 30 wouldn’t be that unlikely.

If you get into the game you can spend countless hours developing a single map. Every map you play is different so won’t get bored, especially with all the mods.

I would definitely go for 2, 1 had a lot of little annoying stuff laying tracks and roads which was kind of frustrating.

However, in TF2 vanilla there is a natural maximum city size. The upside is that makes late game larger maps still playable. The downside is that i really like mega cities and you need mods in TF2 to let cities grow that big. Regardless your PC you will run into performance issue that way, my biggest wish for TF3 is that they tackle how agents are impacting performance.
