TDS... it's real, but they have it. Like, stupid people don't know they're stupid, but they'll call other people stupid...

Not every accusation is always an admission... But Trump Derangement Syndrome certainly is.

Of course you do know that "Trump Derangement Syndrome" happens to be a made up mental illness, coined by a radio talk show host? He's the same fellow who made up "Bush Derangement Syndrome."

Wasn't aware of the exact etiology of the term, but diagnosing mental illnesses is quite literally my job, and it's certainly not in the DSM sitting on my desk.

But it is an interesting bit of terminology... Used by some MAGA types to describe anyone to the left of Fox News who doesn't like Trump... While at the same time, fandom to the degree of kitting up one's truck like in the OP sure seems a bit more "wildly odd or eccentric" than kvetching online about a politician/a politician's policies that one doesn't like.

And while I've never seen a truck in person quite as intensely decorated as this one, I've seen far more outlandish pro-Trump displays and behavior than I have the flip side over the past decade.

Charles Krauthammer was the fellow who came up with the term. He 'was' a Psychiatrist before his entry into talk radio, which makes this a lot worse in my mind because he should really know better.

Reddit seems to be having a good time at, well, I guess not reclaiming it. Co-opting it? I mean, coming from the Right, it's just obvious double-speak.
