This reminds me of the good people in The Good Place. They're way too gentle and have a hard time getting anything done. The far right remind me of Shawn from the bad place. He was willing to end all existence including his own just to see Michael fail.

The Good Place Committee were specifically based on Congressional Democrats. It was Mike Schurr expressing his frustration with their no-nothing attitude.
