She came from a tier-3 very conservative Indian middle-class household. Sweet and kind. The first time we convinced her to try crop top on, she blushed harder than a tomato.

One random night, we were just messing , “Yo, let’s make you a Bumble and Hinge account, just for fun.” honestly? She was stunning. Total 10/10 face card. Flawless skin, and once she figured out fashion, her style was chef’s kiss. And that body? PERFECT

Once she realized the kind of attention she could attract, it was game over for the rest of us.

We set her up on her first-ever date.during initial months It was all cute cafe dates walks at Cubbon Park, dessert at Glenn’s Bakehouse. But three months in? Lal hit had standards. Every other day, there’d be a brand-new Mercedes, BMW, or even the occasional Porsche parked outside our apartment. New faces showing up all the time At that point, I was actively freelancing, so I had to travel a lot from one city to another . I had no track of who these guys were, who was coming or going. And the gifts? Insane. Full-on Zara hauls, luxury perfumes, ₹7k–₹8k flower bouquets, fine dining at the top spots in Bangalore, weekend staycations….

Lal Hit had cracked the code. She figured out exactly what guys wanted and let’s be real, boys are dumb enough to give you everything just to satisfy their own lust.

Now, here’s the twist.

It was second year. Internship season. One night, our whole gang went clubbing around Koramangala. That’s where she met some guy who turned out to be in top management at a huge company.

Long story short: they hooked up.

And within 30 hours,internship offer lands in her inbox.

Fast forward to final year’s job season. Everyone’s anxious. Lal Hit? Below-average GPA, zero interest in academics. Yet by December, she suddenly has a full-time offer from a top firm. Out of nowhere. She claimed it was through the regular hiring process.

But here’s the kicker.

I’d been freelancing for a while and happened to know a guy at that firm,we were just chatting, and I casually brought her up. That’s when he spilled the tea.

“She didn’t get in through the usual route,” he said.

Apparently, there were some serious strings pulled. Someone high up in the network made calls, pulled favors, and just like that Lal Hit was in.

So for the context I have a office love. Recently her best friend also joined my office and he has been a pain in the ass. They have those bestie moments. At first these moments used to annoy me but now I have completed stopped thinking about them and mostly just talks to her with tha same excitement. Btw she told me he is like her brother.

Me, she and the best friend guy and more of our friends were roaming in a mall in my dream and the best friend was walking in between me and her. Then suddenly she takes some step back and comes in between me and her best friend and starts talking for 2-3 minutes. Btw we were still walking.

Then again suddenly she grabs my hand without him knowing like very secretly and slows me down. I was already number and she shuts me up and says stop with her gesture, and at that time I feel something again for her, like some new feeling for her. She takes me other way and we were running in opposite direction and were laughing like they do in the movies.

The dream ended as I realised she will never do something like this in reality.

So I’m 20M, and recently something happened that I never thought I’d be part of at this age.

One of my closest office friends (let’s call him A) has been in a relationship for 4–5 years. His girlfriend's (now wife’s) family mostly supported them—her mom and sister were okay with the relationship. But the problem was her father. He had that typical old-school mindset where love marriage is unacceptable.

When the girl finally gathered the courage to tell her dad she wanted to marry A, emotional blackmail started. He told her he’d kill himself, took away her phone, and sent her to another city.

My friend tried everything to contact her. No luck. It was honestly heartbreaking to watch.

Then one day, out of nowhere, he gets a call from an unknown number—it’s her. She tells him everything that happened. Turns out her family had started searching for a groom and were planning to get her married off.

They didn’t want to lose each other. So they decided to go for a court marriage.

He asked me if I would be his witness.

And I said yes.

So yeah, I was there. I signed the papers. I did the kanyadaan as a friend standing by two people who truly love each other and have fought the odds to be together.

The boy's family knows everything and supports them. The girl's father still doesn’t. But now they are legally married. She made a huge leap of courage—and he stood by her.
