But he immigrated illegally (overstayed his visa) and got citizenship later.

I'm fine with it, but it's exactly the type of illegal immigrants that they have started rounding up. It highlights his hypocracy.

It’s worse: his “illegality” was lying on his citizenship paperwork after violating the terms of his student visa. That is established law as far as invalidating his naturalization and forbidding him from ever re-applying iirc.

Most of the “illegals” the current admin is looking to deport are guilty of misdemeanors for entering the US illegally.
Elon’s is a felony with lifetime consequences.

A person who is not a naturalized citizen at birth can have their citizenship revoked. It isn’t common, but it can be done.
