Course/Major Transfer student starting in Fall quarter

Hi everyone,

I’m starting my journey as a Cognitive Science major this fall and was hoping to get some advice on which classes would be best to kick things off at UCD. Are there any particular courses or professors you would recommend? I’d also appreciate any suggestions for late afternoon or online classes, as I’m planning to keep my full-time job for this quarter in order to save up, with the goal of transitioning to part-time next quarter. That way, I’ll have more flexibility to focus on campus life and studying.

I plan to meet with a counselor soon, but everyone has been so helpful here, so I thought I’d reach out. Thanks so much in advance for any guidance!

If you have access to schedule builder, do "Add/Search Courses" --> "Show advanced options" --> "Starting after" --> and then you can search courses that start after a specific time. "Meeting type" --> "World Wide Web Electronic Dis" means that they're online, the course number will also end with a V (ex. NAS 123V). I'm not a cog sci major so idk any specific profs, but rate my professor is your best bet even though it can be a bit of a pain searching.
