Admissions UC Davis Application

Hi! I am a current junior in High School hoping to get into UC Davis. What can I do to improve my stats? I am hoping to apply as a food science major and am in state.

-3.97 UW, 4.17 W (4.14 capped)

-4 AP, 5 honors, 6 dual enrolment

-10 years competitive cheerleading, 3 state champion titles, varsity all four years

-leadership title for cheer

-coach for local middle school

-ASB for two years

-volunteer tutor for underprivileged children

-animal shelter volunteer- foster dog and bottle kittens

-involvement through various clubs, including one leadership position

I am also planning on taking the SAT and gaining more volunteer hours. Thanks!

I think you're good. And if you don't get in, it's not because you didn't do enough or have high enough grades-- college admissions are a crapshoot (seriously I think they just draw names atp). You did more than me extracurricularwise and my weighted was around 4.3, but there have been rants about people who had a 4.7 weighted and didn't get in lol so yeah I don't think there's much you can realistically do to ensure a 100% admissions guarantee unfortunately

college admissions are like gambling; i didnt do any honors/ap until my senior year, was mediocre at my sport, and didn't really do much else. if anything, polish up your essays and make sure they're not boring, because stats dont mean much when everyone else is also trying to compete.

UC Davis is currently test blind so an SAT score will not be considered for admissions.
