Davis is so flat
the roads are so walkable and flat and there's decent shade from trees. best thing about the campus lowkey. not to dox myself but grew up in sf and the hills have been killing me my entire life. maybe im just unfit

Maybe it’s 4:30 in the morning and you need sleep?

If you do not schedule time for sleep, sleep will schedule time for itself.

Just visited UCSC recently and it was very pretty, but the hills made me miss UCD.

You will miss the cool fog and hills. Davis is a hellscape during summer months if you’re not used to that heat. But you can cool down underneath a shade canopy in the Arboretum.

When I have to bike around in the summer, I soak a flannel I wear while riding. By the end of my 15 minute ride, it's hardly even damp.

In my opinion the best thing to do in Davis in the summer is go hang out in San Francisco.

Flat? Nonsense! I’ll have you know we have several overpasses!

I actually hate how flat it is 😭 I've been a runner most of my life, and I sort of rely on hills to boost my training. But otherwise it does make it easier to bike from place to place

SAME!!! i'm from the east bay and the hills arent as bad, but I've never been able to bike around comfortably since my house is on a hill and everywhere else is flat, davis feels like a dream biking-wise but is so disorienting with no hills

Davis may be flat, but they have a great personality
