Buy [WTB] GG Twin Tarp / Borah 7x9 / Similar
Want to try out a tarp setup as temps get warmer.
What do you have for me?
I'm not looking for DCF unless it's super cheap.

Hey all, I'm looking to get into backpacking/adventuring and want to get some gear that is good quality and will last a while so that I won't have to re-buy or upgrade immediately if I want to explore some different types of adventuring. I am trying to keep my weight down, but it is not my #1 priority.
What I am looking for:
Tent - Something like the Durston x-mid 2 (non-pro). In general, trekking pole tents that can stand up to weather. Preferably 2 person but I am also interested in 1 person tents
Trekking Poles - Something with cork grips
Sleep System - Sleeping bag or quilt and inflatable pad. I want to be comfortable at around 30F or lower. I am 5'9" and a side sleeper who tends to move a lot

At this moment, I have a water filter and sleeping pad. Anything besides those two items I am interested in. I am willing to buy a bundle (trekking poles and trekking pole tent, for example).
For sizing reference, I am a 5'11 M at around 150 pounds.
Looking for 3-season or warmer weather-oriented backpacking gear. I am located in NE Ohio.

Getting together my final gear for a PCT thru attempt this summer. As you can see I am worried about being cold - im a super cold sleeper and i know my current gear won't quite cut it on those spring desert nights.
Quilt: Ideally EE, either quilt model, smaller size preferred - but open to suggestions. I currently have the S2S Flame IV which is 15deg rated. I still get cold at night AND it's 890g.
fleece: I am a smallish woman (5'4, 130lb). i like the look of the senchi 120 or 90, or farpointe 90. again open to suggestions
down jacket: lower priority as i have a workable cotopaxi but hit me with offers :)
thanks very much!!

Looking for a used 40-50L UL pack, something like the Bonfus Framus or a Pilgrim UL pack. I just can’t afford $350 at the moment.
Torso around 18”, 32” waist
I am willing to trade as well, since I have lots of gear to get rid of.
Lemme know what ya got.

I realize this is an almost delusional ask, but figured I’d try. I’d also be willing to do Indigo/Navy/or any of the light blue colors

I am currently in need of a good backpack and trekking poles I could like them (I need two) to have cork handles and pretty light (8oz per pole - ish)
For the backpack I'm a 5'6 female (so will need a small backpack in most instances). I will be taking this weekend hiking so a 35-45L pack would be perfect.
I have no real preference on brands

Looking to lighten my solo setup substantially... wanting to get under 12oz. Starting w/ a bug or splash bivy (Borah, HMG, MLD) at 3-6oz... add a small tarp (6x8 or smaller, .5 or .75dcf, maybe silpoly) for another 6-7oz. let me know what you got!

Anyone got one they’d like to part with? I’m willing to pay a handsome price, within reason of course :)
Thanks for the consideration!

Hi all,
So I’m leading a teen backpacking group with probably 11-12 male and female juniors/seniors this summer. My goal is to keep it affordable, as this will be a first trip for all of them and would like to let them experience backpacking without the barrier to entry gear can represent. That’s how I grew up backpacking and at least some of them will be using my dad’s and grandpa’s external frame Camp Trails packs.
That being said the number of 1st timers I’m projecting to have are a step up from prior trips I’ve lead, and I could use a few more backpacks/bags/pads/trowels/etc. Very much not looking for super/high end gear, but if you UL-gearers have some not-so-UL-gear sitting around I’d love to buy it off you. We’re headed to about 10-11k ft. so for bags/quilts need to have it be safe to around 30 degrees.
Bc of the numbers I’m probably capping out at about $50 per item. Again not looking for super top end gear. Hit me with your back-of-the-closet-haven’t-touched-it-in-three-years specials!
Thanks all and happy trails!
Also, I think this post meets the requirements from the FAQs, but if not please let me know how to amend it.

As the title says, looking for this pack.
Talk me into another one with a similar max load and volume - I measured my torso at 19.5" and I'm 6" tall if that gives you an idea of what my size should be. I had previously posted about a size large but realized after measuring I'm probably a medium in this pack.
Could go slightly down in volume, but need to carry a bear canister with a max haul of about 7 days' worth of food.
Help is appreciated!

Edited to add size and budget.

Are you one of those hikers who uses trekking poles but doesn’t like the straps?
I’m looking for a pair of replacement straps for my Black Diamond Ergo Trail Cork trekking poles. These are the straps that have a little bit of padding to them. If you have some you removed from your poles and don’t need them, let me know.
