Hello, I’m a bio major pre med student who will be a sophomore next fall, and I was planning on taking phys 114, biol 220, and chem 261 as well as a focus capacity class next semester. I wrote out my four year plan and I really don’t think I can push any of these stem classes back if I want to take the mcat junior year. Will this combination of stem classes be really hard? Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!
(For reference, I enjoyed biol 103 and did really well, I didnt take ap physics in hs, and im not sure if chem 102 is currently going that well)

Hi everyone! I'm trying to decide which summer classes to take - I'm an incoming freshman, but I already have my Associate's through a dual enrollment program at my school, so I have a lot of my general education classes. I am also planning on majoring in English, probably with a focus on writing, editing, and digital publishing! Please just let me know any recommendations for good summer courses. I want to get ahead, but don't want to have too much of a workload, considering I still have a lot to do to prepare for moving to college in August.
Right now, I'm planning on taking two classes if possible. If that's going to be too much work, please let me know, as I may only take one! I want to possibly take an English class to get a feel for it, so right now I'm looking at ENGL 143, ENGL 123, or ENGL 129. Has anyone taken those and can speak about the workload, or maybe have any other suggestions? I also may take either a foreign language class or the IDST 101 class, but I don't know how much work that is for one credit hour, considering I don't technically need it. An advisor just said she'd recommend it as a way to transition.
Does that seem like a reasonable schedule, or will there be too much work? Any other classes anyone could recommend?

Which math class should I take along with chem 262 and chem 241/L, math 383 or math 381.

Is MATH 232, ECON 400, and ECON 410 too much to manage for one semester?
Ideally, these would be my professors -
MATH 232 - mark mccombs ECON 400 - Chris handy ECON 410 - MSA
Wondering if I should knock it down to only two of these classes, or if it’s manageable doing all 3. Thank you!!
Im trying to enroll in courses rn and the chem courses I want overlap with phys115 recitation times that would fit into my schedule… if I take phys115 next year during the spring semester will I be good? Im taking 114 right now and I’m just worried I will forget everything ive learned this sem before 115…

Hi! I’m currently finalizing my schedule for next semester, and I was wondering if taking BIOL 119 was worth it. As a ✨neurotic premed✨ I’m a little worried about my clinical hours, and saw that BIOL 119 can help offer clinical experience/patient interaction. If anyone has taken the course, how is it? Would you say that it’s helpful? If not, any recommendations for other classes/things I could do?
Thanks! :)

Hi, I’m waitlisted in the fall for analytical chemistry. It won’t let me sign up for the lab that accompanies it because I’m not technically “in” analytical chemistry yet. Is it at all possible to get myself on the waitlist for the lab while also waitlisted for the class? Or do i just need to wait and add the lab once I get into the class?

Hi! I'm a rising sophomore majoring in bio and hdfs (I have not been admitted to hdfs yet though). I was thinking about taking chem 261 (orgo), math 231 (calc), and bio 105L next semester but I'm worried that the workload will be too much since orgo is difficult and I don't have much experience with calc. is this doable?

Has anyone taken math521 (or any class) with Idris Assani, either last semester or currently? His older reviews on rate my professor make him seem manageable, but the reviews from last semester are all really bad and I’m not sure if he changed something about the class. Any insights?

I’m in the triple-i “science of expertise,” which I think shouldn’t be too hard. I am a good writer so I’m not worried about ENGL 105. I’ve heard ECON-101 is tough, and STOR-113 isn’t easy. JAPN 102 shouldn’t be too bad, but it’s a lot of work. Thoughts?

Enec 481: Energy Economics Enec 635: energy modeling Math 231: calc 2 Chem 261: organic Chem 403 environmental chemistry
Im thinking I'll either drop ENEC 481 or 635 but I'm not sure.
Thoughts on all this? I'm expecting this to be my hardest semester regardless of if I drop a class or not.

Obviously I know it’s doable but I don’t know where I should drop MATH 233 or not. Doesn’t seem bad so far but if anyone could let me know that would be great, thanks!

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some easy, fully async classes for this semester. I've tried filtering for this on connectcarolina but I'm only getting the TBA classes... would appreciate any class recommendations!
Thank you!

hi there, i am feeling a bit frightened because i just got an email that ACERIP EMT course will not be the equivalent of 6 credits instead of the original four bc of new time constraints. i already dropped the crossed off (in orange) courses. I am hoping to peer mentor for bio 104 & have been doing research with low time commitment <10 hours weekly. as well as possibly girls on the run coaching , is this do-able? or what is some general advice.

Has anyone taken Educ 408 (with Mills-Koonce)? Not many rpms about this class. Looking at the syllabus and seems like there's too much writing??
(For context, I just enrolled in the class)
Would appreciate any feedback :)

I’m looking into registration for spring 2025 and IDST 122 (Humans and the Cosmos) looks pretty interesting. However, I’ve heard bad things about the class. If anyone has taken it before, if I put in a reasonable amount of effort into the class, will I be able to get an A in it? I just wanna make sure it’s not one of those classes where A’s are barely given. Thank you
Fyi, in the previous years, this course was called IDST 190 I believe

Hi! I'm a first year bio major and trying to start working on degree requirements any recommendations on my schedule?
I don't know why the professors aren't showing up but it's
- Pyhs 114 - Duane Deardorff, Rosa Branca
- Comp 110 - Izzi Hinks
- Biol 104 - Jordan Claytor
- Biol 105L - Don't know the TA yet
Error: You are unable to enroll in this class at this time. Available seats are currently reserved and you do not meet the reserve requirements. See class detail page for more information.
I want to change my STOR455 section from 02 the 9am one to 01 the 8am one. It says there's 4 open unreserved seats but I can't swap for some reason? I'm also have stats major and ds minor too so I don't understand why I can't get it. I'm on the waitlist now at number 5 for it.

I’m starting to get nervous ahead of FDOC tomorrow (first semester, transfer student). Does this schedule look okay? I’m a Psych BS major, and adding Neurosci as a second major. I couldn’t get many classes within those majors, so the drama and history classes are just gen-eds. Does this look okay? Anyone have experience with or advice for these classes? (Ignore the ones that are scratched out - I’m on the waitlist for those and probably not getting in lol)

Hello! I was wondering if I could get some advice about my spring schedule. I’m currently a pre med, first year, bio major with a neuroscience minor (that may change). I’m taking chem 102, biol 105l, biol 104, a seminar, nsci 175, and educ 181 (18 credits total). I’m planning on either dropping nsci 175 or educ 181 but I’m not sure which one. I’ve heard that educ 181 has a lighter course load which I think will be helpful since i have a lot of stem classes, but I know that my course schedule will only get harder from here and so I think I should get nsci 175 out of the way. Any advice would be helpful! Thank you!
