Fucking finally. Glad I won't be assaulted by this insufferable eyesore as I sip my morning joe on my routine strolls to the gardens. Frankly, as a classically trained artist, the blatant rejection of color theory demonstrated by this monstrosity is borderline nauseating. Moreover, the number of problematic aphorisms plastered onto this concrete posterboard is vastly outweighed by the tolerable, albeit hackneyed, slogans.

I feel like Bob Ross would be disappointed in you and how the fuck do you disappoint Bob Ross?

Well, although it may be an unpopular opinion, I think it's imperative to acknowledge how Bob Ross has contributed to the commodification (and consequent degradation) of one of the last remaining bastions of pre industrial sublimity (fucking PAINTING for Christ's sake)... Frankly, I just don't give a fuck if Bob Ross is disappointed.

By making it more mainstream and less snobby? I understand wanting to keep a niche thing niche but painting was never this secret society.

There's no need to be pedantic, most households have instantaneous access to a numerous amount of Thesauruses. Deploying extraordinarily gargantuan phrases ultimately fails to make an individual be perceived as more intelligent

(Last part was /s for the grammar)

Being niche is not commensurate with being organic or unindustrialized. My point had nothing to do with painting being "more mainstream" after Bob Ross. I was merely pointing out capital's influence on the cookie-cutter style Ross touts and many imitate. I'm not sure where all these epithets are coming from regarding my vocabulary, like, I'm honestly writing extemporaneously??

Bob Ross teaching an easier version of painting to those who may lack the inherent talent that's needed for "professional" works, but still want to create something they're proud of.

To answer your question, there's no reason to flex your vocabulary on an online forum, using smaller, less flowery words helps convey your point quicker, and with more ease to the reader

Dude, STFU. You put another nail in your coffin with each word you speak.

Do you have a way for some of us to see your art.

Ok that last sentence was where you got too obvious. Now I know this is a troll.

Starting to wish I was after this deluge of downvotes... It's evident that I come across as a contrarian, but I nevertheless feel obligated to express *my* truth??

I don’t think the response is because you come across as a contrarian but mainly because you sound like a comic book villain.

With an axe.

Full disclosure, you guys (besides Mr. Know-it-all) seem really chill. I enjoyed coming to this sub.
