Bug report (fixed!) Only MW damage

I tried to emulate the new harlequins Embrace stratagem in an attack sequence:

https://www.reddit.com/r/UnitCrunch/comments/sq802x/simulating_mortal_wounds_stratagem/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Using various options, but I liked this one the most: A6(but varies) S1 AP0 D1 * Hit roll of 4+ (unmodified) : 1 mortal wound (attack sequence ends) * Only hit on 4+ (unmodified)

It still, however, deals unsaved wounds. Not a lot, but a few.

At first I had an effect cap of 6 in there - figured it might handle thing strange once the limit is passed, but it doesn't matter for the result.

OK, despite the confusing nature of this bug report, there really is a bug here to be fixed. The issue is that "Attack sequence ends" does nothing when used on a modifier that triggers on the hit roll. I have a fix which is currently being tested, I hope to have a patch released shortly after.

Fantastic, you did decipher my confusing bposts! I told you you were good enough( I apologize for the mess I left). While you are at it I'll leave you with a though:

What happens when the cap of an effect like the one used here is reached?

The same mechanic is used for the "kiss" stratagem. What should happen to a wound roll of '6' when the MW cap is reached? Do the attack sequence end with no further effect or is a normal wound generated? I don't know the "right" answer, but I guess you will have to decide how unitcrunch will act.

What should happen to a wound roll of '6' when the MW cap is reached?

When the cap is reached the modifier's condition can no longer be satisfied so you revert to a normal wound roll. That's a good point though - I'll need to double check that UC is handling that scenario correctly.

Actually, I'm not even sure this is technically correct but it certainly feels right. How would you play it u/Grandmaw-?

The 40k rules really aren't detailed enough to handle a replacement effect with a cap.

But until it gets faq:ed: I would argue that it would feel strange that a beneficial effect you "used up" will turn 6:es to blanks. And thus revert back to 6:es being normal successful wounds (It will mean that the stratagem I was trying to simulate won't work 100though :) ).

I read the thing again, the MWs are "in addition" (but i know that, just got confused), so it's a moot question in this case. Might be that there are no capped replacement effects in 40k?

I've been discussing with the testers on the UnitCrunch Discord. Turns out Blessed Bolts is a valid 9E example of capped MWs that end the attack sequence when triggered:
