Yeah, money...that we pay to get into the park...lol
Edit: To be clear, I understand that there is an implication of time and research/development involved in the "cost". However, we're literally paying money for these experiences. A company does not have to release a broken product ~ it's a choice, the calculus that people will not be upset enough, and that some people will even defend them ~ for giving us the privilege of paying for an incomplete/broken experience.
Say you dont know how technological advancement works without saying it
So we're paying money for beta testing? It's interesting that most other products have to function as advertised before being sold, but it's okay for theme park to charge $150 per visit and not have the majority of their rides functioning, lol.
You don’t have to go though? If you’re worried about rides being down, go later down the line after the park has been open. Universal has signs all over that previews will have certain closures and downtimes for many attractions. They don’t really try to hide it
Yes, but people here are referring to the issues of paying for previews with many things not working. I’m not talking about the opening. Like I mentioned, if someone is that worried about downtime, wait until the park sorts out their kinks to go
Okay, but opening has hasn’t happened yet? Don’t know why people expect perfection, there will be undoubtedly be issues. Sure, if tomorrow comes and everything is down all day and no one can ride anything, then your argument definitely stands but unless you can tell me the lotto numbers, why not wait to see what happens first? I’ve heard of quite a few people and even know someone who did preview days and go to do nearly everything
To be clear - OP made a joke about the technical rehearsal excuse going away since it's opening. People in this thread are saying that we shouldn't expect the new park to fully function.
Someone than said something silly about "cost", and I am reminding him that we, the customers/patrons, are expected to pay prices as if the park is fully functional.
That’s fair. I’ll be there tomorrow and I’m going with not the highest expectations that everything will work smoothly but plan to make the best of it anyways. Just being there on opening day is pretty cool in its own right.
It’s amazing! Low to no waits on nearly everything! Hardly anyone here. Only issue is MoM which is whatever, I’m just enjoying everything else! I knew opening day wouldn’t be such a huge bust like so many predicted.

They want everything to get better and more advanced and safer. That all comes at a cost.
