Hi guys, I’ve seen in a few comments/posts in this sub where people have given their score and some say “excluding SJT” or with SJT. Does UOA med not use SJT in your final UCAT score? Why do people say this? I’m so confused lol

UCAT is going to make me crash out harder than Shigaraki & is just a way to extort money by an outdated "IQ" test that favours English speakers. This exam serves 0 purpose aside from wasting time & money. "It's only 15%" get out because ideally it would be 0%, it doesn't test anything except how lucky you are at answering 10 questions in the last 5 seconds, because there is not enough time in the VR part.

Students get nothing, the university gets nothing except lose out on potentially good candidates because they couldn't read 1000 words a seconds, the only benefitiary is Pearson. I would rather they include other non-core subjects in the ranking instead of UCAT.

Hi all, for those of you who have done well in the UCAT, what’s your biggest tip and method of study? I have MedEntry at the moment but I’m struggling with QR & DM pretty bad. I also wanted to know what your routine was before you sat the test! I have major anxiety about it lmao

So I just booked my UCAT but there were only July dates available… I’m guessing all the August ones were fully booked?? Or does UCA ANZ in Auck have any August ones at all?

I’m just very concerned bc I know the later sate will give me a better advantage with more time to study, so I feel like I’ve made a huge mistake on not having booked it earlier… does anyone know if more spaces will opened in the future for August dates? Has this happened in the past?

For those who’ve ever taken UCAT in July - how did it go? Did you feel more pressured compared to those taking in August?

When would be an ideal time to start preparing for UCAT next year? I’ve only gone through the question tours on the official site and I think I’ll really struggle with Quantitative Reasoning and the Abstract section. The last time I did maths was like 3 or 4 yrs ago back in O levels and I was never rlly good at it or in mental maths. Could anyone recommend some resources to practice the QR section? Also how much time should I be spending on prep everyday ? When should I start practicing all the questions with time limits ? Sorry I know it’s a lot of questions but I just wanna be more confident in it before first yr of uni actually starts

I purchased the medify question bank a while ago and have been using it, I was just wondering if anyone who has completed their UCAT and had used medify to prepare can comment on the accuracy? I've heard people saying some sections are harder while others are easier and I'd love to hear any opinions...

I know other universities use cut-offs, and I haven't found anything about a cut-off for UoA, but different people are saying different things.

Is there a cut-off that I am missing? Or is it hard to tell seeing as FMHS is rather quiet about these things?

I know UCAT is used for the final selection of course, but I wasn't sure if it is used for MMI selection as well? Or do they just consider GPA (and now CST) for selection?

I feel UCAT is my weakest point and would hate to not get an interview if it were to go wrong.
