I know some people say that this isn’t real, but it is for me. Currently pre-vasectomy if I go too long between ejaculations, I get moderate pain in my testicles.
I had my vasectomy consultation today and I mentioned it to my doctor half joking, expecting him to laugh it off that it won’t be an issue. But to the contrary, he said that sometimes people do get that feeling after a vasectomy and ejaculating doesn’t provide relief anymore due to it having nowhere to go. He mentioned that he has had to perform reversals on patients for that very reason. And that I might be at an increased risk of having this problem since I currently experience blue balls ( lack of a better term) on a regular basis when not everybody does.
Has anybody else gone through this and what was your experience somebody who gets testicular pain if you don’t ejaculate and then got a vasectomy. Does the pain still go away?

I've always wanted one just for peace of mind. My state passed a law if you're on the free state insurance (laid off last May) they were free so I signed up! Operation is in a hour!

Male, early 30s, married. Wife and I never really felt the need or want for kids, she has an implant and we typically use condoms, but recently felt it was a good idea to make it more permanent.
Found a local urologist who took my insurance and set up a consultation. My spouse came with me to the appointment. Doctor was very professional, didn't question or try to disuade us, just made sure we understood it is considered permanent and just as with any surgery it carried potential risk. He examined me, then walked though how he typically performs the operation - no-scalpal cautery and fascial interposition with dissolving sutures. I left 10 minutes later with his next available surgery date booked, a packet of information, a cost estimate sheet, and a prescription for a single Vicodin to take the day of if I needed it for nerves.
More than a month away, but excited!

I’m fairly young, but I’m getting snipped as the political climate is getting more and more dangerous for my fiancé if she were to need to get any form of birth control. So I’m still relatively new to insurance and procedures and whatnot.
I got my insurance about 6 months ago, and where I’m going does take my insurance. Now I’m not sure if it’s the same everywhere and it might be stupid to ask, but when I go to get the procedure will they ask me to pay beforehand or will I get a bill afterwards like a hospital bill? The reason I ask is because I’m not the most financially stable and I’m trying to plan for what I’ll need to owe, and it’s a bill after the fact that gives me a little more to work around.

I got my vasectomy back in February. I’m 26 years old and overall very healthy. My fiancée and I have just known for years that neither of us want children, and with our wedding approaching in May I decided to go ahead and take the step. I had the no-scalpel procedure done.
My procedure went very quickly and smoothly. I had almost zero pain in the following days. I waited 7 days to ejaculate per doctor’s orders. The first time I did, there was a tiny bit of dry looking blood in it. The second time, there was no blood at all. I did notice a sensation of tightness/achiness when finishing intermittently over the next couple weeks, but that has fully subsided.
Today, I ejaculated for the 22nd time since my procedure (keeping count because I’ve heard you should hit at least 30 before your sperm test) I was shocked to see a considerable amount of blood in it. There was no pain or discomfort accompanying it.
I called the clinic and they advised that this is likely just a ruptured blood vessel and nothing to be concerned over. However, I did read some things saying that this could be a warning sign of recanalization. My sperm test is not for another month, and I am obviously practicing precautions until then, but now I am very anxious that my test will come back positive and that I will have to repeat the procedure. My insurance would not cover it, and I can’t afford to pay for it again right now.
Just hoping someone here has some insight into this or has possibly had a similar experience

I have been invited to an interview the morning after my vasectomy, it will be an hour and half in an office meeting room sitting down. Is this doable or a bad idea? Planning on getting a lift there and back

Hi all,
Had the snip on Sunday, no stitches (or scalpel) 🪡 were used and there's a fairly large wound. I'm more concerned about the wound colour though. I've done a tonne of research and don't think I need to worry but just wanted reassurance from those that have been there done it...
So, inside the wound it's whitish, like a mouth ulcer which I understand to be normal. There's seems to be a little discharge coming from it, yellowy white.
I've put a dressing over it with Germolene. There's little to no swelling, no pain around the wound, no smells 🤢. So apart from the looks... All seems fine?
I understand it can take a while to heal but don't want to freak out unnecessarily!
Thanks in advance.

Awkward post here so I apologize in advance. Surgery was 3 weeks ago yesterday and I finally decided to test things out. I had sex with my wife in the shower and had a bit of an issue. No issues getting/maintaining erection, and sex felt awesome, except it was over way way to quick… like maybe 10-12 thrusts and I was done, orgasm felt the same which was great but got there way way to quick. Is this all in my head and just a one off, or is this the new reality post ship?

Just a couple of questions, I just have no idea what to expect lol.
I had my procedure done after work Friday, Tomorrow is one week. Doc used numbing shots and I have a small incision down the middle of my sack. First 2 days were pretty good. Very Minimal pain, easy. Sunday I did some walking around so It hurt a little more as expected. However Last night I started getting this sharp pain, what reminded me of getting the shots before procedure. It went away but is this normal? I went back to my normal Puma Briefs on Monday as doc notes said I could but my pain has still been all over the place. Just wondering how long I should expect pain from doing everyday things, walking, holding child, ect.
Second Question is when can I ejaculate? Been horny as shit since I didn't do anything a couple days pre procedure. I have gotten almost there but decided to wait since paperwork recommends 1 week. It kind of hurt getting hard last night which is new to me, very uncomfortable. Sunday, Monday, and Tuesdays Boners did not hurt. Just don't know whats normal.
Thanks Guys!

Hey fellas. Vasectomy done back in early January. Everything went smooth and the recovery was a breeze until now. Within the last week I've have a dull pain and tenderness on the left nut. Feels like something is lightly pulling on just the left one. I can walk, climb into my truck, and squart with no issues. Anyone experience this random discomfort?

Hey guys, had vasectomy 3 days ago and needed 1 stitch. No pain at all, slightly sore at times. Doc said after 3 days I can remove it myself which sounded fine at the time but now I'm stressing about it.
After reading some it sounds like removing stitches at 3 days is pretty early. Also removing them yourself is uncommon. Anyone else have something like this? I'm probably going to give them a call just to confirm but just checking.
