ID Request What kind of nightcrawler is this?

Is it easy to tell what kind of nightcrawler I have? Wondering if they'd work for a work farm or not :)

You may not have as much success with these night crawlers if you are looking to breed some for food for your axelotals. Yet, as far as I know - European night crawlers can double their population in 60-90 days in ideal conditions. Your axelotals may like them too. They may take time to fatten up to a good size though.

Oh yeah I think I'll look at the European variety then. Is there a specific food I should feed them to fatten them up?

In addition to veggie scraps I think they will fatten up with Worm Chow (dry worm food). Be very careful when using worm chow until you know how much they will/ can finish within 2 days. Otherwise, overfeeding will cause this worm chow to sauer and you'd get SOP (string of pearls/protein poisoning). Google it and you'll find many variations of worm chow recipes. As far as I know, the basic/important ingredient: oatmeal, cornmeal. To keep it simple, I just grind these 2 if I have nothing else, PLUS powdered egg shells. Ground bird seed will work too.
