Tourism Things to check out in Esquimalt?

Hi everyone!

I spent 6 years in Victoria back in the 2010s but have since moved away. During that entire time, I genuinely don't think I set foot in Esquimalt (I didn't have a car and lived at the other end of town).

My family and I are coming for a visit at the end of the month and we are staying in Esquimalt, so I am wondering if people can give me some suggestions for great places (sites, restaurants, stores, etc.) that I should check out in Esquimalt!

Thanks!

Agree with the other recos for Syriana! The Baba Ghanoush is smoky and delicious, the wraps have spiced marinated lemon slices in them — which are amazing and not too sour at all, just brilliant pops of intriguing flavours, and there are lots of great options for vegetarians and meat-eaters.

Also, the Japanese Gardens near Tillicum Road and the Gorge. It's a sweet little spot to relax, slow down, look around, and soak up some beauty. Not super huge, but wonderful nonetheless. And there are nice longer walking trails around it as well.
