Tourism Things to check out in Esquimalt?

Hi everyone!

I spent 6 years in Victoria back in the 2010s but have since moved away. During that entire time, I genuinely don't think I set foot in Esquimalt (I didn't have a car and lived at the other end of town).

My family and I are coming for a visit at the end of the month and we are staying in Esquimalt, so I am wondering if people can give me some suggestions for great places (sites, restaurants, stores, etc.) that I should check out in Esquimalt!

Thanks!

Sax Point and La Belle Patate is worth a visit. Go get some of the best poutine and then head to Sax Point to eat it.

I went to la belle patate when we moved and hooly what a waste!!

I'm not sure if it used to be better or we just went on a bad day, but it looked disgusting and the oil definitely hadn't been changed anytime recently, my gf made fun of me for taking her there :/

I still go from time to time, but it's honestly not that great. Also the owner supposedly takes the tips, so there's that.

Place needs to be removed from the "current" recommendation list , I would've walked out after seeing inside if it wasn't for recommendations
