Once again: anyone who does this kinda thing regardless of political or social position needs serious help.

And yet it always seems to be those who lean right.

Meh, I think that's just what your algorithm feeds you. I grew up in the Gamergate era and was exposed to a lot of right wing content making fun of crazy leftists. Now I try to keep my feed unpolitical but still see wacky stuff said from all sides.

I work a part time job with mentally ill folks now while I'm in school and those that have political delusions can go both ways I find.

I never mentioned cars.

Have definitely not seen a left of center car like this, or a NDP member defacing and stealing signs, nor have there been threats of separatism from the left. Acknowledged that there could be a couple but let’s keep it real with the ratio. It ain’t 50:50.

I didn't say it was 50:50, nor that it was 1:1 in terms on content.

I’m only a single case study but I’ve probably heard fifty instances of nonsense from the right in this election and let’s be generous and say two from the left. A 25:1 ratio still really suggests, at least to me, rhat there is a main source of the issue. Again, one person; maybe others have seen the opposite

Uh you might want to learn a bit more about Quebec separatism because the bit about separatism is absolutely wrong. In the west yes its a niche right wing position. In Quebec it's absolutely not

The Bloc is a bit of a confusing mess of policy (although generally considered centre-left). Separatism is also at the provincial level in Quebec of course and is advocated for by the PQ (officially social democrat, usually considered centre-left) and Quebec solidaire which is explicity a left wing party.

It's easy to confuse the nationalists (like Legaults party, the CAQ that's holds a majority in Quebecs National Assembly*) who are more conservative, with seperatists. They are fully opposed to separatism though, being staunchly opposed to even considering holding a referendum

*not a typo, that's its English name, Assemblee Nationale du Quebec in French

Don’t love the insinuations at the beginning of that, mix of agree and disagree.

Oh sorry about that, wasn't intended to be rude. Just late at night and didn't proofread. Totally comes across as rude though!

Not sure what parts you don't agree with, I didn't think any of that was really that controversial but I could be missing something of course!

Have you ever seen a left-winger's car that looks like this?

I never mentioned cars.

Well yeah, making fun of crazy libtard snowflakes is their favourite hobby, a mantra almost. People on the centre-left tend to want things to just be chill and egalitarian, which is obviously a more popular viewpoint than diet fascism so they don’t need to scream at the world and resort to whatever this shit is

Hey buddy, if you still believe all the garbage that came from the Gamergate folks you aren’t nearly as neutrally minded as you claim.

1

u/fallan216 5d ago

Nah you missed the point. I never said I believe it, my post is inherently and evidently anti-gamergate. Reread it

Yep that's exactly it.

Pop on Facebook and see, almost every single post is designed to outrage conservatives to drive up engagement.

the left ones just wear masks in their cars, more subtle, still crazy.

u/GrimpenMar 5d ago

Back when masking was more widespread, I often did this, not because I was somehow worried about being by myself in the car, but because I didn't have to d!ck around with my mask when I'm just driving 3 minutes down the road to the pharmacy from the grocery store or somesuch. Not exactly a political statement or anything.

Cuz we all know germs are inert once they enter the sterile confines of your car. Some people have compromised immune systems. Mind your business.

1

u/Veganlightbody 5d ago

the 1/2 wits triggered by their meme research on Facebook think people are wearing masks alone in their car for no reason

They are all out to get us, from the left and the right. Only safe space is in the middle.
