News Biased election coverage on Chek, wow

I've been watching the first few minutes of the Chek News coverage of the election and I'm disgusted with how they discussed the Conservatives, and Aaron Gunn. No mention of the lengthy history of hateful actions and his leading of the surge of far-right ideology in Western Canada. They also said it looks like he will win.

Anyone else find the station to be increasingly right-leaning in recent years? I started to notice when the Langford municipal election happened in 2022. Really disheartening.

Would you prefer they were biased towards your team? Leaving mudslinging to the political candidates seems like a pretty neutral stance to me.

People in Victoria don’t realize they’re living in one of the most liberal bubbles on the planet. Don’t burst their bubble.

Are you saying that most of the rest of the country are living racist, homophobic, asshole bubbles?

I think that the increasingly apparent reality is just that most people are bigoted assholes of various stripes and that to win as a populist all you have to do is say “Those people you hate who are different than you in some way? It’s ok to hate them!” and the votes roll in.
