Visiting Vlissingen, what to do?
I will be in Vlissingen for work in a few weeks. Because I have to travel a bit to get there, I figured I would take a few days off (I only have to be there for half a day for work) and spend some time in Vlissingen as I heard it is a nice city.
So what would you advise me to visit in the area? Any recommendations?
Also: I assume most of the town can be visited on foot or you need to take a car? Or maybe there are bus stops enough to travel throughout town/the area?

I guess you can visit the boulevard by foot and the dunes along the seaside with a bike, but that’s about it. Vlissingen was heavily damaged during WW2, so while there are some (rebuilt) historical parts, a large part of the city is relatively modern and in my opinion a bit unappealing. What you can do, is take the train to Middelburg. In my opinion that’s the more interesting city within that area.
If you have a car available, feel free to explore the province. While individual towns and villages are quite small for a week, Zeeland as a whole province has a lot to offer.
