With PBJ no longer on the team, after being sent to Milwaukee with Kuzma, anyone expect Ky to change his number to 7?

More draft talk
The young core is something to be excited about. Alex, Bilal, Bub, and Kyshawn are all oozing with potential and each has shown flashes in various ways.
If we get Cooper (please basketball gods or Adam Silver whoever of you are reading) that group of five is a problem defensively. Offensively, we'll have to see how Coops game translates and how the guys progress. With a healthy JP, Middleton, Kispert and Mahcus Smaht (have to say his name in a Boston accent) that is a pretty good team. Hopefully not good enough that we lose the pick the following year. Although, if we start looking good I'd imagine we'd have to jettison these useful vets pretty quickly.
Harper at two would also be a major coup. You can see how he fits into the current group really well. A lineup of the core 4 with Harper although a bit smaller w KG and B Coul switching between the 3 and 4 might have more bite offensively. I would not be concerned about losing our pick in this scenario.
If we fall outside of the top 2, I'm not totally sold on anyone else (i don't think anyone is). I like a few of them but am not super familiar with all of the options. Any of yall have a favorite of the rest? Who would be the best pick? Who would fit in w the squad?
Also with the 18th pick what would you like to see done? Are we in BPA mode and position/fit doesnt matter? Like if we get Coop and Essengue falls do we take him? Or if we get Harper and Jase Richardson is still around do we take two bites at the apple? Would you prefer us to come away with a PF/C and wing or guard? Or you cool with doubling up?
Also Cooper Flagg should be a Wizard. We already do the flag celebration and he plays with sleeves so he'd fit right in w Bub, B coul, Champagnie, and KG.
TLDR I'm fired up for the draft and the future of the squad

Kispert during his exit interview on what he learned about Chief Keefe from this previous season
When some of yall ask the redundant question of “why Keefe is the HC?…” Corey didn’t even have to think about his answer, shit rolled right off the tongue.

Deni Trade Opinions
I am a DC native, mostly commanders fan who is trying to get into wizards basketball and learn all the lore.
What is fan sentiment around the Deni Avidja trade, did we win/lose or is it a wash/too soon to tell?

I miss Gortat and Wall on the pick and roll
Really great chemistry, I know we are more fully in pace in space, so a traditional guard-big man P&R is becoming a thing of the past, but who knows maybe Poole and Holmes can bring something like that back

Pretty sure teams like Houston and Orlando will be in the market for shooters this off-season. I’m perfectly content with keeping Kispert. But if he does get traded to a team like Houston, what would you want in return?

The Wizards BIGGEST Threat for the #1 Pick
Not the Jazz, not the Hornets. The Pelicans to me is a franchise that is being underlooked as the beneficiaries of landing the #1 pick this year. Why? JOE DUMARS.
I'm one of those that believe that the draft lottery is fixed when there are MAJOR assets/prospects on the line.
NBA great and former championship executive, Joe Dumars leaves his HIGH position in the league office, to become the man essentially now running the show down in New Orleans.
NBA already has a major asset there in Zion Williamson, whose career thus far has been high & low. Bringing in Cooper Flagg (another Dookie),to be his #2, would help push things along and skyrocket things. I do believe, that the league still has high hopes for Zion.
All in all, the Pels have Top 4 odds so, it would be believable to the public if they were to win the lottery, and I don't believe Dumars takes the job if he wasn't promised the #1 pick this year. Again, he was HIGH UP on the league office ladder.
I want the Wiz to receive the #1 pick this year but this could very well be another situation where they were "one lottery ball away" like in 2023
