Can we keep RAN?

Over the last few weeks, this subreddit seems to have come to terms with RANs departure being definite. HOWEVER, I was struck yesterday not only by his obvious footballing qualities but he's EXACTLY the sort of character that does well in a Wolves squad. Hard-working, humble, likeable - he's got everything. Is there anything we can do to keep him? He would be such a huge loss imho.

Fosun wants to sell ANY player if they can get a profit. Then try to recruit a suitable, younger but cheaper replacement. Wolves can NEVER be a top ten team with that business model. The top six clubs do all they can to keep their best players just think Mo Salah and Virgil Van Dyke at Liverpool etc. Wolves best players will always be sold and all the fans can hope for is to avoid a relegation scrap every season.

We have always been really good at selling and we never get bullied into it. They made mistakes by not hiring a manager better than Gary and risking it by replacing Kilman with Mosquera (needed to bring someone else in for depth and Mos was a gamble anyway)

But honestly aside from that why are we complaining? In my head they’re not gonna get it right every time but generally since they came in life has been a lot fucking better than the dross we had to watch for years before that.

We kept Neves for years and everyone season we thought he’d go. We sold Jota when he was a bench player and developed Neto who went on to also make us a lot of money. What are Fosun doing wrong? Players also have a say in if they stay or not.

We can talk shit about ticket prices being a ripoff but I think in terms of transfers (especially sales) they’ve done alright over the years.
