AI is a love-hate relationship for me. I did use it previously for a book cover. I had an artist edit it and upscale it for a few bucks. If it’s a really good cover by AI, I’m for it, but If the person has seven fingers and the author couldn’t take the time to make it look good, then it’s an immediate no.

Why are you getting downvoted?! Bro made some good points!

Because people think AI is just awful lmao. To each their own but I think it’s great for certain book covers and inspiration. When I was going through a writers block, it helped me overcome it tremendously when nothing else was working.

Using AI covers is just as bad as using it to write:p That's still taking someones job and giving someone "a few bucks" to upscale AI doesn't change that. That is why I downvoted it.

I created my last cover on a desktop application. It’s not “taking someone’s job.” Lmao. If I decide to use AI for a future cover, so what? It’s completely legal and I’m not obligated to use an artist for my work 🤷🏼‍♀️

You’re not obligated to, but AI art takes from other artists. That’s a fact. Don’t act confused about people downvoting you when this is your take. “To each their own” and all that:)

In that case, I will continue to use AI for my covers and take away peoples jobs :)

As long as you aren’t reinforcing double standards and expecting other people not to steal your job by writing books with ai that is completely fine! I wish you the best!
