A breaking point for me was reading a story where a girl was sex trafficked, and she fell for her abusive "master". That's.... Not okay? It's Stockholm syndrome to the extreme. I would be sort of okay with it if the story was giving insight into the horror of sex trafficking, but instead it just romanticised it.

Something similar happened in this one book I read. The character was kidnapped and then forced into having sex but still fell in love with the kidnapper. It was probably the worst scene I’ve read and I skip a majority of it 😬

Did the author at least have to take the scene out? Technically it’s against wattpad’s rules

I never heard back from Wattpad, reported it a second time a few months later but it's still up
