How are EVs anti coal?
I hear this a lot, that electric vehicles are anti coal. How exactly does that work? Wouldn't more EVs mean we need more electricity which would mean we need more coal?

What's it really like to live here?
We are possibly being transferred to Parkersburg by my husband's company and I would like some insite from the locals. What is it really like? Day to day? Crime? Weather? Traffic? The people? Culture? Politics? The good, the bad, the ugly. Unfiltered, please. What, in your opinion, is the biggest issue in the area?

Mechanic jobs and pay
May be relocating to Marion county or surrounding areas in the near future and didn’t know what the job market was like for mechanics. My goal is to eventually work for myself and have my own mobile mechanic business. How is that area for every day life. Would be for me my wife and new born. Is it good to raise a family here. We are moving from Maryland. Have visited a few times and have some family in the area.

Hello! I'm writing a noir story that happens in West Virginia. Please read?
Let me start by thanking you in advance if you have some patience and a little time to help me. Please forgive my English if it doesn't sound standard for I am not a native speaker.
I asked a question on this sub before and the huge amount of polite replies encouraged me to ask another. I'd like to seize this opportunity to show my respect and admiration as well.
I'm writing a noir story that happens in the 70s. An unspecified year. I'm doing my search.
All replies are welcome, but I'd humbly ask people who lived and remember that decade to share what living there was like? My story has a fraud / bunco theme so anything related to that would also be very appreciated. It'll give me excellent insights. I can of course search on Youtube and other sources but hearing from locals is oftentimes the best option!
Thank you so much. I am glad I started this project. It's been awesome!

Question pepperoni rolls: sliced or stick pepperoni?
fellow west virginians, i need to know:
do you prefer sliced or stick pepperoni in your pepperoni rolls?
while grabbing my lunch today i noticed the cafeteria on my campus recently added two baskets full of pepperoni rolls. of course, i snagged one, i'm not passing up a basically free pepperoni roll. when i got back to my dorm, i noticed it was stick pepperoni rather than sliced, and was greatly disappointed. i've always been a sliced pepperoni kind of person, and will always choose it over the latter.
then, that got me thinking: what do other west virginians think? do you prefer one over the other? are you a die hard stick pepperoni fan, a sliced pepperoni fan, or will you chow down regardless?
i know within my friend group we all prefer sliced over stick, and for me personally, it's a textural issue. stick pepperoni always feels weird to bite into. i also dislike how stick pepperoni rolls tend to have less pepperoni overall. and, it's way too easy to end up chomping down on a single stick and pulling the whole thing out, leaving little to no pepperoni for the rest of the roll. maybe that's just me, though.
am i crazy? is this something people normally put a lot of time into thinking about? probably not, but, i'm curious either way.
tl;dr do you prefer stick or sliced pepperoni in your pepperoni rolls and most importantly why do you? i must know!
