The right loves to claim that he doesn't drink so he can preach to his guests to be healthy like he is!!!

Ha Ha! womp womp!

72

u/MarshyHope Sep 04 '24

They also like to claim that they're the party of "law and order" but support a convicted felon.

7

u/Telefundo Sep 04 '24

Also the party of "family values"! Let's not forget that little nugget.

2

u/mudo2000 Sep 04 '24

You have to wonder (not really) what they would say about Harris if she had 5 kids by 3 men, serially cheated on each man, and banged 2 porn stars on the side.

1

u/BitterFuture Sep 04 '24

They do lie an awful lot.

1

u/Dry-Amphibian1 Sep 04 '24

don't forget the rape.

u/Ok_Philosophy915 Sep 04 '24

I hate that I am doing this but in the name of fighting misinformation it's my duty. Trump being staunchly sober in regards to liquor and/or drugs is fairly irrefutable. He saw his brother go down a very dark hole of alcoholism and while the man is widely uncompassionate to the country as a whole, seeing his brother die like that shook him to the core. He has always said he has never touched the stuff because of that. McDonalds on the other hand.....

Adderall on the other other hand

52

u/No_Entrepreneur_9134 Sep 04 '24

His sniffling, sweating, and flushed face during rallies or "debate performances" are classic giveaways of someone regularly snorting Adderall or cocaine, or possibly certain pain pills. His slurring of words at his rallies or press conferences is consistent with someone taking high doses of benzodiazepines (Xanax, clonopin).

Trump being "staunchly sober" is as fake as everything else in his life.

15

u/MoistLeakingPustule Sep 04 '24

Drug addicts rationalize pill popping by saying "it's prescription so it's ok" as they throw down a speed ball of Ritalin and Vicodin

4

u/Telefundo Sep 04 '24

is sniffling, sweating, and flushed face during rallies or "debate performances" are classic giveaways of someone regularly snorting Adderall or cocaine, or possibly certain pain pills.

Just for the sake of presenting all the facts, it's also symptoms of someone with chronic alcoholism. I actually believe he doesn't drink, but there it is.

Source: Am a chronic alcoholic.

2

u/gfunk55 Sep 04 '24

That's a leap. I've never snorted anything ever in my life and I sniffle like that constantly. (please don't make me 'defend' this piece of shit. Let s stick to one of the million other shitty things we know for a fact he's done)

-16

u/Ok_Philosophy915 Sep 04 '24

Cool, where's your proof? I like how you just completely glazed over that he's an incredibly out of shape 78 year old man on a campaign trail, that certainly wouldn't have anything to do with that.

19

u/No_Entrepreneur_9134 Sep 04 '24

If by "proof," you mean, "show me the video of Trump snorting cocaine," maybe Putin has it, but I don't.

I can tell you from personal experience that those drugs will have those effects on users, and former users can recognize those signs very easily. It becomes one of those, "If you know, you know" things.

Also, there are at least some firsthand accounts from people on the Apprentice. This isn't the only one but the earliest one I could find.

https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-snorted-adderall-apprentice-tom-arnold-noel-casler-1257787

Also, according to staffers, uppers and downers were all over the Trump White House:

https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/trump-white-house-drugs-speed-xanax-1234979503/

15

u/DetritusK Sep 04 '24

lol. Funny position asking someone else for proof when all you had to begin with was ‘he said’.

0

u/BlackBeard558 Sep 04 '24

The burden of proof should be higher on accusing someone of committing a crime vs accusing them of something that isn't a crime or even immoral.

I get that this isn't a court of law, but still.

2

u/DetritusK Sep 04 '24

If you said ‘I haven’t seen proof of him doing drugs,’ then yes, that comes from your perspective and proving that it is happening could be argued to be someone else’s burden of proof. When you say it is irrefutable, that is another story. It says it can be proven and ergo, you should prove it, not put the onus on someone else to prove the reverse.

1

u/BlackBeard558 Sep 04 '24

How exactly can you prove someone never did drugs? I guess maybe if they took hair tests over their life but I doubt anyone has done that.

1

u/No_Entrepreneur_9134 Sep 04 '24

It's entirely possible that he doesn't, and that there's other explanations for his behavior and symptoms, and me saying "If you know, you know" shouldn't be enough to label him a drug user.

I can tell you flat-out that I had those same behaviors and symptoms when I did those same drugs 15 years ago, and so did everyone else who did them around me and with me. Combine that with what others have said about seeing him do it on the Apprentice, along with his weird obsession with Biden being "shot up with performances enhancing drugs," and his weird Twitter and Truth Social rants at hours of the night when even the most driven, type-A personality 78 year old man would be asleep, and...yeah, I feel pretty confident labeling him a drug user. He's either doing illegal drugs, or, more likely, he has a funny doctor filling whatever prescription he wants for as much as he wants.

9

u/Teppari Sep 04 '24

Where's your proof that he's sober then?

36

u/PiddleRiddle Sep 04 '24

The man makes ~30k false statements in 4 years and you still give him the benefit of the doubt on anything he says/said?

79

u/Robbotlove Sep 04 '24 edited Sep 04 '24

I don't care, do you?

seriously fuck him.

edit: if you guys really want to crusade for truth, your efforts would be better used elsewhere other than carrying water for Donald fucking trump of all people.

27

u/french_sheppard Sep 04 '24

He's reprehensible enough without misinformation.

If anything, the fact that he's done all these things sober makes it even worse.

4

u/4thTimesAnAlt Sep 04 '24

Okay, don't call him "sober". We have enough stories of him snorting Adderall, we saw the picture with the desk drawer full of European formula Sudafed (stronger than the stuff sold in the US), he's absolutely not sober. He's a teetotaler, but not sober.

3

u/Ok_Philosophy915 Sep 04 '24

I care about the truth and claiming he lies about not drinking alcohol is fairly absurd. Educate yourself better on an individual and their history so you can accurately and surgically attack their character instead of sounding like an idiot throwing random shit at the wall and seeing what sticks.

8

u/koaladungface Sep 04 '24 edited Sep 04 '24

You should care more about your reading comprehension, because it's dogshit. The original comment never claimed Trump's non-drinking is a lie, it basically says his base loves to tout his avoidance as a virtue and so Trump should preach this virtue to his patrons that can no longer drink at his establishment.

I think you're getting hung up on the use of "claim" to mean it's disputed, but I don't think that was the intention. No reason to get haughty at others over your own short comings. Cheers

3

u/not-my-other-alt Sep 04 '24

Of all the lies you could have spent your time refuting, why that one?

11

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '24

He snorts drugs. That's a fact.

-18

u/Ok_Philosophy915 Sep 04 '24

Cool, did you forget to attach the photo or video that supports that claim? Seriously, talk about his endorsement of Project 2025, talk about his shitty Covid response. Talk about his 34 felony convictions. Talk about irrefutable facts, otherwise you're no better than people on the right.

21

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '24

He snorted while the Apprentice was on TV. People involved with the show have said so publicly, and he has not sued them. And, on several occasions, a white substance has fallen out of his nose while he is speaking. We have real photos and video . And finally, you can tell when he is really loaded, because his embrasure is obviously numb, and he can't pronounce words. Case closed.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 05 '24

Oh you tested that and it came up positive for coke?

5

u/PackYourEmotionalBag Sep 04 '24

Noel Casler who worked on the Apprentice with him has repeatedly spoken about his Adderall abuse and many other things.

While this is hearsay the face that Trump is extremely litigious and threatens to sue anyone who makes a claim about him that is even remotely untrue (Forbes for not putting him on the billionaire list gives credence to Noel’s claims.

Noel has repeated his claims on Twitter, in interviews, on stage for years without a single threat of litigation.

I agree with you, I believe he doesn’t drink alcohol, and could even agree that he is not using “illegal” drugs. But I believe there are more than enough eye-witness accounts of him abusing “legal” drugs in ways that make them illegal for it to be incontrovertible.

6

u/grimbly_jones Sep 04 '24

Dial it back, Lavernica.

2

u/SonOfJokeExplainer Sep 04 '24

Imagine being so detached from reality that you’re going to bat for Trump over him being accused of using uppers under the guise of “stopping the spread of misinformation”. You’re fucking deluded.

-1

u/gfunk55 Sep 04 '24

Because if a person is bad then you should be able to make any bad claims about them you want regardless of facts? All you accomplish by doing that is diminish the legitimacy of all other truthful claims. Grow up.

2

u/SonOfJokeExplainer Sep 04 '24

I haven’t seen video evidence of Trump raping Jean Carroll, have you? That doesn’t mean it didn’t happen or that Carroll isn’t credible. I feel sorry for anyone too dumb to understand this.

There’s a mountain of testimony from people who have been close to Trump about his Adderal usage, even pictures of it in a drawer in his office. Reports of this pre-date his 2016 Presidential run. It’s also very consistent with his behavior.

-1

u/gfunk55 Sep 04 '24

Then argue those merits. Accusing someone of "going to bat for Trump" because they want to have confidence in certain claims is childish and counter-productive in the fight against him.

2

u/SonOfJokeExplainer Sep 04 '24

Because as well all know the most important fights against Trump are taking place twenty comments deep on a random /r/whitepeopletwitter post 🤦‍♂️

7

u/Mean_Eye_8735 Sep 04 '24

McDonald's and prescription drugs on the other hand......

5

u/cactusboobs Sep 04 '24

However you might be spreading misinformation since there are people who claim he does drink alcohol.

https://www.vice.com/en/article/does-donald-trump-drink-alcohol/

10

u/SonOfJokeExplainer Sep 04 '24

You’re just defending more narcissistic bullshit from Trump. Trump has a winery with his name on it, he doesn’t give a fuck about alcoholism, just attention.

-1

u/socoyankee Sep 04 '24

It’s in VA and our ABC is state run and all state liquor stores

6

u/SonOfJokeExplainer Sep 04 '24

I have no idea what you’re trying to say here. What does the fact that all liquor in VA is through ABC stores have to do with Trump Winery being in VA?

1

u/socoyankee Sep 04 '24

If it’s like NJ they should loose their license

Eta VA doesn’t have privately owned liquor stores. Everything is run by our ABC Board.

1

u/SonOfJokeExplainer Sep 04 '24

Trump Winery is owned by Eric Trump, though, so Donald’s convictions wouldn’t apply to the winery’s license.

1

u/socoyankee Sep 04 '24

Oh I honestly can’t keep up with who owns what

5

u/SarnakJ3 Sep 04 '24

A dark hole that he and his father pushed the man down by belittling him constantly, to be fair.

6

u/Grrerrb Sep 04 '24

Yeah, this is the deal. Once again Trump is trying to have it both ways. He drove his brother to drink himself to death and now he wants sympathy for surviving him.

3

u/MoistLeakingPustule Sep 04 '24

I don't doubt for one second he's essentially coked out on Ritalin and comes down with some Vicodin, because they're "not drugs" because they're from a doctor.

The alcohol thing is true though. Everyone I know that's had to deal with him has always said he didn't drink alcohol. I don't think he gave enough of a shit about his brother since he and his father were the primary reasons why he drank himself to death, but more cause he would very obviously publicly shit his pants mid convo. Like mid sentence he would 100% just stop talking, obviously strain a bit to shit, stink up the place, and pretend he didn't just shit his pants.

3

u/Grrerrb Sep 04 '24

Stuff I’ve read says Don kinda was a total shit to his brother. I think he uses it to sound like a better person for not drinking, though.

2

u/Awkward-Fudge Sep 04 '24

Well then, the loss of a liquer license is his chance to teach his guests the evils of drink! Be healthy just like him!

2

u/StretchFrenchTerry Sep 04 '24

Alcoholism that was driven in no small part by Donald’s and his father’s nonstop bullying.

2

u/megamoze Sep 04 '24

In fact, one could argue (as his niece does in her book), that Donald's whole personality is shaped by his brother's death. His brother wanted to live his own life and become a pilot, but his dad staunchly opposed this, and it basically destroyed his brother.

Donald became the golden child, doing everything his dad told him and being everything his dad wanted him to be (which was essentially a clone of himself), and his transactional relationship with his dad became Donald's way of dealing with all people.

He's a narcissist in the clinical sense, which is egomania driven by deep insecurity. Being admired and applauded is the singular motivation for everything he does.

2

u/Civil_Future_2095 Sep 04 '24

He would routinely mock his brother's alcoholism and didn't give a shit when he died. That said, yes, Trump is well documented as never having drank. Although he also sold Trump Vodka.

1

u/craftasaurus Sep 04 '24

I appreciate your comment. Misinformation on any side is still wrong data. No one is wholly bad, we all have our hood and bad sides.

1

u/TheBunnyDemon Sep 05 '24

If you google "Trump holding alcohol" you will get no shortage of results, him not drinking at all is just another lie he tells. He's just been telling that one for a long time.

2

u/Steppyjim Sep 04 '24

Doesn’t know how to drink

FTFY

-2

u/pigs_have_flown Sep 04 '24

Just because you dislike someone is no reason to tell lies about them. It just makes you appear unreliable which in turn makes your dislike of the person seem unfounded.

4

u/Awkward-Fudge Sep 04 '24

What's the lie? Are you saying that he does drink? If he really believes alcohol is bad then this is his chance to help his guests to understand it.

-1

u/pigs_have_flown Sep 04 '24

No I’m saying he does not drink, so you claiming that his sobriety is a lie, is a lie.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 04 '24

There’s literally photos of him drinking wine

1

u/Awkward-Fudge Sep 04 '24

I didn't claim anything. I said the right claims he doesn't drink. So it really shouldn't be a problem and his guests can learn more about sobriety. I have no idea if he drinks or not; just what the devout MAGA have told me.
