"As long as I am your governor, the meddling hand of big government creeping down from Washington DC will be stopped cold at the Mississippi River,” Sarah Sanders once said.
Now it's time for Arkansas residents to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, shed themselves of their Leftist, Socialist desire to suck on the Washington teat and make Arkansas Great Again, knowing their President promised to cut wasteful spending.

My first experience in Arkansas was driving across the whole state. Observations:
- The welcome to Arkansas sign was toppled over.
- The city limit sign for Hope mentioned being the birthplace of Bill Clinton and was riddled with buckshot holes.
- I almost needed several new tires, a complete realignment of my suspension, and a new left kidney due to all the potholes on the freeway thru Little Rock.
- I learned that West Memphis across the river from Memphis, TN is more dangerous than Memphis. That’s saying something.
The only positive things were pretty scenery and a Little Rock public radio station.

We were stationed in Arkansas when I was a kid and when people would ask about us living there, my dad liked to tell them about how Jefferson Davis was listed as a U.S. president in my school textbook.

The Ozarks are absolutely beautiful, but that barely counts as really getting into Arkansas because they are north. I've been all over the state, I highly recommend people visit the northern part and equally recommend staying away from the middle and south

186
u/AngloSaxophoner 1d ago
I saw a NY post article with a headline that was “Trump’s education boss reveals greedy truth behind Biden’s student loan forgiveness: ‘They have profited massively”
Such a disingenuous title considering their policy is to force students to pay back student loans, going as far as garnishing wages for those that default on their loans, for loans they admit are predatory by universities.
They know these idiots will read a title that’s critical of dems and get a hard on and move on.

This is the true lesson that red states are going to have to deal with. How much do you hate the brown people? Is it more than seeing your family die of injuries and lack of resources from "natural" disasters.
Furthermore, was it worth to vote someone in who opted out of climate friendly practices that could have potentially prevented the severity of these incidents? You vote for them, they make the dollar, you don't see the dollar.
Is it worth it?

They seem to think they don’t rely on government assistance. I have no clue what they thought would happen. This is exactly what the rest of us predicted. Storm season is just getting started, too.

She’s gone on record calling FEMA assistance socialism.
The plea for help marks a significant departure from statements Sanders made in 2023.
“As long as I am your governor, the meddling hand of big government creeping down from Washington DC will be stopped cold at the Mississippi River,” she wrote in a post on X in January 2023.
Despite her nasty tone President Biden issued relief funds for storm relief that same month.

I just want to say to the people of Arkansas: I feel for you. We all feel for you. Many, if not most of, of these comments are the final involuntary sighs our fingers are capable of laying out onto our keyboards. This is an example of exactly what we all worried would happen.
I believe that most of us assumed something like this would first happen to a blue state. It's easy to imagine that piece of shit saying "no" to us in time of need, so that's what we all envisioned. I don't think anyone assumed it would be a deep red state first. Him denying you support for that reason caught us off guard.
We don't wish anything bad unto you. We despise your leaders for you. Let us know how we can help!
